Hey,hey... First time poster here.
I know a little bit about PC's having undertaken a Microsoft Certified Desktop Technicians Course many years ago in Milton Keynes, but thought I'd post up what i'm considering buying.
I'm off to study Film Production in January. I edit mostly in 4k and export in 1080p to retain Quality and sharpness.
I don't intend to stream.
I plan to play Rainbow Six Siege on odd occasions, and maybe some CSGO.
(I'm also aware that there are Game Promotions on some parts)
Case: NZXT H500 MID-TOWER GAMING CASE (BLACK) (IS THERE ANYWAY TO GET THIS IN WHITE?)
or the Coolermaster Masterbox MB530P (more Fans = better airflow right?)
Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Eight Core CPU (3.6GHz-4.4GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4) ( Is there much point getting the Next one up aka 3800X)
ASUS® PRIME B450-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.1, 6Gb/s) - (Will the BIOS be updated by PCSpecialist?)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 16GB) (fancied a little RGB, and debating 64GB)
6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1660 SUPER - HDMI, DP - GeForce GTX VR Ready! (was debating the 2060, is there much point?)
500GB SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2.5" SSD, (upto 560MB/sR | 535MB/sW)
2TB Samsung 860 QVO 2.5" SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (upto 550MB/sR | 520MB/sW)
CORSAIR 550W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
STANDARD AMD CPU COOLER
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT (Wi-Fi NOT INCLUDED)
- I was advised the above specs would be okay for most 1080p/1440p Light gaming and be good for video editing.
Let me know what you guys think.
