SATA Power cable.

I want to add a ssd to my desktop. currently i have an NVME drive. the pic is all the power cables i have. how do i power the drive? Thanks

Is this a PC Specialist PC? If so, could you past your specs from your order page so we can see what config we're working with, as this is a closed forum for PC Specialist customers.


The connection will also depend on whether you're fitting a 2.5" SATA SSD or an NVMe m.2 SSD.

If it's not, then can I suggest an open forum, such as Tom's Hardware...

its not a pc specialist pc. i want to fit a SATA 2.5"
You will have to see if there are any SATA data and power cables in the machine already and if not you will need some - if it was a PCS machine all spare cables would've been provided anyway - those cables you showed are not the ones you need for it

As said since its not a PCSpecialist machine we cant really give too much advice, but I'll bet there are a whole load of YouTube videos showing how to install a SATA SSD, though you will need to find out where to plug it in on your specific motherboard.
