Screen flicker :'(

Hi, I got a new 144Hz 1440p 2560 monitor and i am using the display port to get the most out of my 3080. When i run games i seem to get a weird flicker where the screen darkens a tiny bit, but it flickers to this really fast. it is hard to describe. All of the settings as far as i can see are correct, NVIDIA and windows display controls are set to the correct monitor at the correct refresh rate. the HDMI works fine. But i get less frames so that defeats the object.
Anyone got any ideas?

Try another DP cable, the one that came with my monitor was doing weird things, I swapped it for an after market one and it solved the issues
