Hi,
As my trusted Defiance III is still my main workhorse in the house next to an ASUS FX705 (which I hate with a passion) I wanted some upgrades to it.
So I added an extra 32GB of RAM and an extra SSD.
My eyes are now on the extra M-SATA that is still available (Slot 1, or M.2 (2) in the picture)
So I popped in a Samsung 500GB M-SATA for a little extra space, but when I tried to boot, the machine didn't see the boot drive anymore.
It nicely registered the new 500GB in Slot 1, so the device is certainly working.
Thinking "I'll fix this in the BIOS" I tried setting the boot drive back to Slot 0 (m.2(3) in the picture) , but the BIOS just didn't see anything in Slot 0 installed.
Removing the M-SATA from Slot 1 made booting possible again so no harm done there, but the question is; How do I get this computer to recognize Slot 1 without crapping out on Slot 0?
Cheers
