hey, I just bought a computer from here, and the windows side works well, it's what I'm writing on right now.

I tried to get a live session of Manjaro Gnome working, it boots up, but throws me in a TTY, and I can't get any GDM to show up or anything graphical. I'm thinking maybe there's something I forgot to do, maybe some drivers don't come preinstalled or something ?

Sorry to hear about this Araly, our Linux support is sadly a bit limited, you may have better responses on a proper linux forum.

I have dabbled with a few Distros in the past, I used to use Redhat and Suse a lot before they became Fedora and OpenSuse, I have faffed with Ubuntu and played with Mint a little bit.

Have you got a screenshot of the error that you're getting/the screen that it lands on?

I asked the Manjaro Matrix room, and someone told me to try with the daily stable ISO, as it uses kernel 5.13 instead of the 5.10 the regular image has.

the GPU is apparently so new that 5.10 was too old and didn't have the drivers yet ^^

Now everything is working, and I was able to play a couple games to test things out. this being my first powerful computer it's kind of jarring launching a game and not waiting 5 minutes for the main menus to load and maybe crash ^^
