Sound Blaster Atlas Issue

Try reinstalling again but right click on the installer and select run as administrator.
That didn't work either. I think my laptop has just had enough lol. Not sure what else to do. I am also waiting to hear back from PCS support email too, so hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow.

So just to clarify this time round did it go the whole way through the installation process for Atlas and the installer closed normally?

Well, I clicked on the setup.bat as that does both exe. I believe it did them normally though. It did show command prompt lines too. I have clicked on that before when I tried reinstalling it ages ago when PCS forgot to install the software when it arrived to me first time.

Can we just pause for a sec.

Is this the software you are looking for?

The files in your SBX folder are just EQ presets. They aren't to install Atlas.

No, that isn't the software I was using. It was all white and had presets for movies (I think movies), music, games etc.

And the files in that folder installed it before as that is what PCS sent me in an email.

It is the same software as this guy - https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/sound-blaster-atlas-malfunction.78516/

Right I am there. So where did you get your installer from for sound blaster atlas? Because so far I haven't seen it in either of your pictures?

I sent you two different emails sent by PCS - It was for the exact same email. I don't know where else I would get software other than in the files in my download?

From what I can tell those are links to drivers which work with Atlas. They are not links to the Atlas software.

In your download section you should have an installer explicitly for Soundblaster Atlas.

My Valeon uses soundblaster Cinema 6. Different software but the same concept. This is what I have in my download section alongside my drivers:

PCS need to provide you an installer for Atlas.

Ohh I see. Do you see anything in my download section regarding that besides the w10_09_SBX.zip? If not then I am really confused?

From what I can tell the files in your SBX folder are just EQ configuration files. They are definitely not the configuration file for Atlas the folder is far too small.

I am also confused though. In your first post you said
After reinstalling Sound Blaster Atlas it keeps bringing up "Please connect a Sound Blaster Atlas supported Device."

What installer were you running that gave you this message?

All I know the app was called Sound Blaster Atlas. I even have a sticker on the laptop saying "Powered by Sound Blaster Atlas".

And the logo is something like this -

Yes I know this but you said you reinstalled it and then got this message.

You didn't reinstall it with either of the installation folders you have shown me in your download section because they are not Atlas so where did you get the installer?

Could you tell me what the model number is for your laptop. It will be written on the sticker on the bottom.

From my understanding it was from those folders? *Shrugs*.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's this one

I'm not 100% sure which one you want so I took a photo of both.
Yeh that's the right number. I was hoping that there would be a standalone installer for Atlas on Clevo's support website but there isn't.
Basically you should have a standalone installer for it like the one I illustrated in the picture of my download section so PCS need to supply you with one. As it stands you cant install Atlas because you do not have an installer for Atlas.

As it is OEM partner software you also cannot find it on the internet.

One last thing to try would be to open the "Microsoft Store" App > click on your "library" (bottom left of the screen) > click on "included with device" (top right)

A previous laptop I had used Dolby Access to configure its audio and it was deployed through the Windows Store. I am pretty sure creative don't do this though as my version of Sound Blaster Cinema is not showing.

Basically PCS need to provide you with the software.

When you speak to them make sure they know that you don't want the drivers, you already have those. you want the Sound Blaster Atlas software.

Hmmm. I will ask them when they email me tomorrow. They seem to be slow with this type of stuff for me. I would probably be easier if I call them but I don't fancy waiting on the phone for awhile.

I don't have anything inside "included with device".

Yeh I didn't think you would.

Unfortunately you just need PCS to get back to you with the software.

@barlew I called PCS. For start the solve the issue of the Realtek looping, it was something to do with LAN drivers. Secondly, they aren't sure why the driver itself won't install, but they did manage to reinstall the software. At first they thought it was my Windows being corrupted but they looked in Event Viewer and saw no Warnings or Errors to be concerned about. So I was told my Windows isn't corrupted, but we couldn't figure out why the driver won't install. He did say reinstalling could fix the issue, but I wouldn't do that over Minor software. He did agree with me.

So I would probably say this solved, or partially solved. I won't complain anymore about the software.
