Surely it's possible?

I am up for that if you want a hand, maybe Keynes and co want to put some FAQ's forward as well. We all been here long enough to know something useful :)

Yeah, I'll probably do a bit to do with stock and delays tonight, would a mod be able to sticky it if it's alright? And what section should I post it under?

And Fair enough Keynes, makes sense too :p

It is the lack of communication re the delays etc etc which is the problem and not the length of time taken to build. As we know at the moment there is a big delay in the time given at the time of order to time it goes into build. I really do not mind waiting but i do want to be kept informed.
Is that so wrong

not wrong at all, I believe the delay is affecting not only PCS but other retailers. You get an automated email which is not ideal but for an update on your order the best thing to do is to give them a call. Perhaps they should highlight the building times indicated are estimates and it could take longer and also highlight that by agreeing with the T&C you accept to wait up to 30 working days.

Laptop has finally gone into building so should get it by Friday (monday - tuesday at the latest). I have no issues with PCS and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a custom pc or laptop. Think the problem is that for people who don't fast track there order the fast track orders take what stock is left which is understandable. So I would recommend the fast track if possible but then if everyone chose fast track then there would still be delays which is why there is extra cost for fast track well it's one of the reasons it costs more anyway.

Other than the lack of communication, which to be fair for me hasn't been that bad they've replied to near enough every email I sent and the phone call was answered relatively quickly and was dealt with excellently. The problem is that unless you ring up you don't get any idea of why you're laptop or pc is delayed.

Sorry but they do not even send automated emails they just do not keep people informed again time of build is not the issue but the lack of communication is the issue. They can take the 30 days but customers should be kept informed and not left in limbo. As for taking the fast track way i was informed prior to placing my order there was not any issues with build times and everything was in stock as it turns out some of that is mis-information.

No, it would've been in stock, they would've run out of stock after you placed your order since when you order it doesn't "reserve" the components for your build. Not mis-information, i've said that already in this thread...
