I agree with a lot of what you said there @SpyderTracks but I'm not going to open this can of worms again. Just for the record though, I'm not 'pandering to Intel' because the same applies to AMD CPUs. I think we have to agree to disagree.

Yes, AMD have the same disclaimer on their CPU's, but they've publicly stated on the record numerous times on their own forums (staff, not public) that they would honour any CPU warranty using a memory overclock.

I'm sure if they had another Bulldozer moment like Intel are having now, they would no doubt change tactic and pull that card, but to date, they haven't.

Again, the whole point is the the OP's contract is not with Intel, it's totally irrelevant what stipulations Intel puts in place, it's what PCS have agreed to in their sales contract which was that the system was working with 5600MHz. Intels own statements on CPU warranties are that it needs to be done via the OEM, so even Intel are factually stating their terms for OEM sales do not apply.

Hi, good people. I have an HP Probook 6450b Laptop that gets hot. I tried replacing the thermal paste, but it's still very hot. Then, I left for almost a year. Some days ago, I picked it up and then tried a new thermal paste; I discovered that the thermal seemed to work this time. But I also found that my fan is not spinning. It won't spin until I give it a push. It will also spin during boot and stop after boot. Or stops after a while.

I have cleaned it. But it's still not working. Please, what else should I do?
The Laptop runs on windows10

I'm afraid as this is a dedicated pc specialist forum we're unable to comment on competitors equipment, you might do better somewhere like Tom's hardware
