The Time Has Come

Just want to clarify something before I start panicking.
My RMA collection day is tomorrow, but my RMA is still pending approval after submitting it on Thursday. Will DPD be coming to pick it up tomorrow or has this not been approved yet?
Been looking at the Returns Help Page on my account and not sure if I've shot myself in the foot as there looks like there was an option for the tech support staff member to generate the RMA on my behalf, and I'm not sure if that would have expedited the process for me. Boxed it up and added appropriate labelling in anticipation for approval, but going to be a bit disappointed if I don't have my PC picked up tomorrow.

I work in a returns dept of a large e-retailer and if its the same kind of system then the collection date is correct and the pending approval would be when the item is reciepted into the returns department.
Obviously this could be different for PCS, but that's how our systems would show the RMA case.

Have you received the labels for the courier?
Have you received an RMA number?

I would expect this is the case here as well, pending approval is once they receive it and confirm if it’s a warranty fix and so chargeable or not and if the customer wants to proceed to enter the queue

Awesome, thanks for clarifying. I have an RMA number and when tech support was talking me through filling out RMA application they mentioned that DPD would supply the labels.
Also cut out a return note from my welcome pack which has the PCS address and my RMA number written out.

Feeling a lot calmer now, cheers folks!

If you've been given an RMA number then your golden, should be all set to be picked up.

Got the DPD app, PCS haven’t supplied an order number for collection, maybe that’ll come tomorrow morning? (Asked for an afternoon collection)

MrWilson,

What issues were there with the build if you don't mind me asking. I'm expecting mine Tuesday and it might help me to be on the look out for certain things. This would be my first build so any tips on making sure everything is ok, out of the box would be appreciated.

So had a meeting this afternoon, when it finished checked the app and said driver was 4 deliveries away so headed outside with the package. Then checked the app and apparently he had dropped by 5 minutes ago and “had missed me”. By chance I saw the van across the street and raced over to flag him down, and he drove over to pick the package up. Might have got some revenge, as he dropped the box from waist height in order to open his vans rear doors. Is in original packaging so I should be covered by warranty regardless, but hopefully foam will do it’s work.
On it’s way back north, and will hopefully return soon ready to go!

That's awful man, you can leave feedback for the driver in the app, I would definitely leave as negative as possible and then call up separately to complain as well, that's really poor.

It might be worth letting PCS know about the dropped box in case he did some damage
Updated my RMA form to let PCS know.

Will be leaving some feedback for the driver too. Makes me feel kind of deflated again, but at least it's heading back to the boffins at PCS to be fixed!

+1 for leaving that driver as much negative feedback as possible.

The company I work for use Parcelforce for our outgoing deliveries of vast quantities of glass bottles containing medicines, amongst other things. We swapped to DPD a couple of years ago as the savings were significant but were forced to change back to PF as the volume of products damaged in transit was phenomenal. It's fair to say that DPD have a poor reputation for the care they provide to your package!

It really depends on your location, DPD here in N. Ireland are generally very good with parcels. I've never had an issue with them and I work in procurement and logistics so I've a fair volume coming and going weekly
