Mainly going to be used for high end flight sim in VR.

I would appreciate some you folks giving it the once over, so I haven't missed anything obvious.

Drop the Arctic paste as the H115 is pre-pasted. And not sure you need the extra case fan. Case comes with 2x140 in front and 1x140 at rear. The H115 will be top mounted, so unless you’re thinking of bottom mounting the 120, not sure where else you’d place it.

Looks awesome. I'd second @IRLRobinS's advice, but I'd add a couple of things:

• I wouldn't get that 870 SSD. It's SATA and therefore quite slow. You have four M.2 slots, so I'd either buy a third one yourself (if you need more than 2.5TB of storage?) or ask PCS to add an extra drive to your order.
• The Intel 670p is also cheaper than the 970 without being significantly worse, so I'd go for that instead.
• I kind of doubt 64GB of memory is really necessary. That's a hell of a lot. I'd go for 32GB to start with and upgrade later if it turned out I really needed that much memory.
• And most importantly, the Asus 3090? Not a cost-efficient purchase! I'd personally suggest the 10GB 3080, as the extra cost for the 3080 Ti or the 3090 is enormous without adding a vast quantity of framerate. But in any case, don't pay the extra for the Asus branding: get the generic one and it'll be more than fine.

Many thanks for the advice and guidance, I really appreciate it.

So I've done some changes following on from what you guy's have said.

I ditched the First Storage Drive, the 1TB Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" SSD, and upgraded the second M.2 drive to a 2TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 5000MB/W), these were not listed when I first did the order a few weeks ago so I'm glad I took the time to review the order. I also removed the ARCTIC thermal paste and the extra case fan, which saved some money to put towards the upgraded M.2

I'm going to stick with the Asus ROG RTX 3090, as my current system when I had it built by PCS I went for a generic 1080Ti, the 1080Ti being the latest card available at the time, but afterward wished I'd gone for an upgraded version of the same card a few months after receiving the system. My current card only has the one scroll type fan and can run hot when under load in VR on the flight sim, the 3x axial fan model may have been better in this regard. I don't often buy a PC so I'd like this build to last me a good few years!. Having said that this 1080Ti I've been using for the past 4.5 years has been great otherwise.

Mate just on the 3090 it's more geared towards productions work with the 24GB of VRAM which just won't get used when gaming. That's why it costs so much. We're talking single digit performance improvements over the 3080 and 3080Ti for absurd amounts of money

Hey it's your cash but we just wouldn't recommend it you're not getting anything you'll use for your money by the sounds of it so the 3080 would be strongly recommended instead

As above, the 3090 Strix is just setting fire to cash. The 3080Ti offers very little, which counts doubly so for flight simming as you're most definitely going to be CPU bottlenecked.

I wouldn't order past the 3080 for gaming. Even if you went with the 3080 Strix you would still be saving an absolute ton.

I'm intrigued to see or know what monitor is also being used for this.

Unless you are going to be using the full 24GB of VRAM on that 3090, this is all that happening...
