Tryx really heading in an interesting direction

So Tryx came out guns blazing at CES with an unusual panoramic display AIO, it was extremely niche and obviously expensive, but new companies penetrating the market need to do exactly this, make a statement piece they know they're going to make a loss on, but that grabs headlines.

Roll forward 9 months, and they've now released their first case, and again, it looks quite interesting. Definitely not unique, but a good bridge IMHO between 2 hot manufacturers: Lian Li (O11 Dynamic internal systems) and Hyte (Y60 / Y70 Touch)

Definitely worth keeping an eye on these guys

It looks very concept to me. The ideas are all there, and there fantastic, but it doesn't look polished to me yet.

They're definitely an exciting company though. They seem to be really thinking about the home builder.

Surely they just need to make it work as a full-size case side/front - so that it can be used as your computer monitor as well as a glass sided/fronted case?

A buildable AIO is an interesting concept. I don't think there would be much market for it though. The most difficult aspect would be the change of monitor technology. Would likely be fine for professional uses as you tend to spend correctly once in that space, in the gaming space though it's all about the best you can afford at the time, which tends to change quicker.

I know how heavy my 6500X is, so really don't want to have to risk carrying/shipping something that size with an extra 10KG of curved OLED!

Although I could always create a new version of my MacPro 'skate' which I used to use when I had to take my MacPro and Cinema Display around the country with me (in the car, but easier to transport through a large client building if it was on it's own custom-made trolley).

Mine was a 2008 one, so well before Apple stole my idea. It was just a 18mm piece of clear acrylic or polycarbonate with 4" dolly wheels (rather than the smaller castors or skateboard wheels) fitted to each corner, and cut-outs for the MacPro to sit in securely.

I'd seen it on a website (OWC I think), but it was US only, and the postage was double the cost of the skate.

It went with the computer when I gave it to my sister, but I think she threw the skate away as it was never going to move.

Have found some alternatives from around the same time...

Reviews are in on the case, I don’t see this as a bad thing at all, it’s how they take the feedback and move forwards that’s matters.
