Have you reinstalled windows or reset it since you got it?
Trusted installer is a windows system file, you shouldn't have any write permissions or anything on that as it would be set to system accounts.
What exactly are you trying to open and from what location.
Have you reset windows or clean installed?had some random freezes so i wanted to check the event window, but then also my soundbar wasnt connecting so i was trying to go into device manager to remove it so i can reconnect it via bluetooth but couldnt access it
Nope, i didnt think id need to as it set it up when i got the PCHave you reset windows or clean installed?
When you say you can't access it, why not? Can you take a screenshot of the error?so i was trying to go into device manager to remove it so i can reconnect it via bluetooth but couldnt access it
TBH, I would just do a clean install of windows, looks like your permissions are all borked.
+1 to reinstalling Windows.TBH, I would just do a clean install of windows, looks like your permissions are all borked.
That's assuming it's just your account on there, and it's not been setup but someone else as the administrator as in that case you'd need to speak to them as it doesn't appear you have rights for admin tasks.
might just have to desktop shortcut it for easy access if i got to keep deleting it lol, if it continues then i will fresh installWhilst that may have fixed that issue for the time being if you have one permissions issue like that then you may find more later - cos that just shouldn't happen
The point is, it's likely that's not the only setting to have changed, you'll likely find other things that are amiss as you use it.might just have to desktop shortcut it for easy access if i got to keep deleting it lol, if it continues then i will fresh install
will do tomorrow, rather do it now then later as u suggestThe point is, it's likely that's not the only setting to have changed, you'll likely find other things that are amiss as you use it.
It's far easier to clean install while the system is still new than once it's been used for a long time.
I would definitely recommend a clean install. For that setting to have changed, others certainly will have as well.
It's not uncommon. See these...Managed to fix it after some tinkering
went into HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\ and deleted the disallowed folder, now i can access what i couldnt before
