Upgrading Cooler

I currently have a PCS Frostflow 100 V3 cooler that isn't too good so I'm looking at upgrading to liquid cooling, the Corsair iCue H100i. I was also thinking of adding a second GPU probably the RTX 3050 but I don't know if there would enough room in the case a PCS Prism-X mid tower case.

Would these work together or would I need to leave out the GPU?

Also it would be good to know what you want to achieve from your upgrades. A second GPU suits only a very narrow set of uses.

GPU upgrade for better graphics rather than shelling out for a 40 series. If it's pointless, which it probably is, then I won't bother and just go for the cooling upgrade.

What problems are you running into?

I'd expect that cooling is definitely insufficient on that system: the 11900K is hot and that's a puny little air cooler. The H100i is absolutely a minimum I'd want.

The 3050 would not be additional to the 3090 Ti but alternative: you'd be using one or the other for any given purpose.

Other than cooling, I'd be looking at your storage situation. Are you running games off a 5400RPM hard drive? That'll be a bad time!

The heat is a big issue. Depending on the game it's running high 70c and it's not comfortable to sit near. My other options for liquid cooling are the H150 elite, link H115 or H150.

Most games have, in my perception, been loading fine. A forced switch to the SSD for one and it's made a massive difference in load times. A larger SSD and no HDD is probably what I'll change there.

The other GPUs are 710, 730 and 1030. I'm guessing they wouldn't change anything either?

High 70s isn't actually a concern, though I'm surprised to hear that's possible with that chip and that cooler. And it's quite possible that the heat off the system comes from the graphics card as well as the CPU. So it is certainly a good plan, but it might not solve the overall heat concern...

Adding an additional SSD is a good call. You don't need to remove the one you have to add a second, and you might as well keep the hard drive, though I wouldn't use it for games. I'd get a 2TB P41+ as a good value option.

The other GPUs would do nothing to help you. I can't believe that with a 3090 Ti you are really lacking performance...!

What make and model monitor are you using?

I expect there is room to keep the HDD in there.

Have you actually looked at the Upgrade page in your account as well?

It will give you an idea of whats available - its a bit like the configurator but already tells you what you have in your system, then gives you drop down boxes to choose your upgrade items.

It's the upgrade page I'd been looking at. I'll look into the SSD options and figure out which cooler I want as there are more options than I noted. The heat is only an issue for me as I struggle with constant warm air around me. The PC runs fine and can do for as long as I have it running. I'll look into the GPU temp before I do anything though. I have a NAS which is why I'm not too bothered about the HDD but it will no doubt be handy and I'd regret removing it. My monitor is an Iiyama G-Master GB2760QSU. A few years old now but I don't think I need a new one.

Gaming mostly. I don't need it for much else
Ok, you need to stop where you are, close your eyes, be still, take a breath, exhale, open your eyes and smell the roses.

You've got quite frankly about the cheapest 1440p monitor money can buy with a last gen most expensive gaming card money can buy.

You've never used that card, like not even broken a sweat.

Why are you thinking you need to upgrade the GPU?

God I hate it when you get passive anger responses.

Look, to @LorHat it's clear you don't know hardware, unless there are very specific uses, you have never actually used your GPU, your monitor quite frankly sucks and is a complete waste of that build. I'm not gonna take the time to explain all the details of why that's true, it's quite boring.

But do yourself a favour, you don't need to upgrade the PC at all except for the cooler which will net you some increased smoothness, but for Christs sake, please buy a half decent monitor that will actually make use of what's quite a powerful machine.
