Valeon 3070 screen issue

Hi,I have a Valeon with 3070 gpu,Amd 5900hx combo.Today while on desktop my screen froze with a black line across the screen near top.The screen image also seemed to degrade and break up the longer it was on the screen.
I forced a power down as nothing was responding.
Upon reboot screen stayed blank,but infra red light for windows hello and camera still works.
I connected to external display but still nothing.
Next I rebooted then tried to enter bios on external screen which then appeared on external.
Fearing it was a gpu issue I switched to "mshybrid" to see if I could get to desktop using the amd radeon gpu.
That worked and I can use pc correctly on external display and also the 3070 gpu works correctly, albeit in mshybrid and not dgpu mode.
I just can't get anything to come though the laptop display.
I have updated to latest drivers but to no avail.
Any help appreciated.

Booting VR on Oculus Quest as the amd radeon won't boot it.Also ran Battlefield 2042 on a 4k TV which ran at smoothly at 60hz.Could also hear the fans ramp up hard.

Nvidia also detects the 3070gpu in Nvidia system info.
But have noticed that in Nvidia display settings my laptop display isn't on the list,only the external TV I'm connected to

Is that on Windows 10 as that's what I'm currently running?
If so I'm pretty sure I have all Win10 updates.
Just opened and closed the lid a few times and noticed the camera led flashed and then cut at certain points when lifting the lid.
Could this suggest an intermittent connection/break in screen cable?

Quite possibly, that would make more sense if there's a cable that's degraded to the point it's cutting connection at times when the lid is moved.

I'm wondering if the cable is an integral part of the screen or if I can just get the cable replaced.
I only have labour warranty left you see,not parts,so no idea what the cost might be for something like that.
Been a fantastic laptop up till this point.

Worth running it past PCS to get a quote, if you decide it’s not worth it, then you can bow out without incurring any cost (aside from postage) and find another source for a cable.

I think that chassis is a clevo? In which case there is a site in Germany called Eurocom that do official replacement parts and upgrades, even if PCS could let you know the part number of what’s required that would be a benefit
