Various kernel system errors and light patches on screen near camera

HI, I've recently bought my laptop and have had various system errors when starting and also noticing light patches on the screen when its booting up and also in some games. I've had various kernel system errors when booting up the tablet plus the battery also doesn't last that much, it last probably about an hour when its not charging or plugged. Ive attached copies of my application, security and system info files.
Application - StevenRobertson726
The laptop is barely a month old and should the battery not last a bit longer than that??

Ive also attached images of the light patches on the screen as well which doesn't seem to be normal as it has been like this from day one of booting the laptop.

Regards Steven

The BSOD Doctor
The first thing I'd suggest is to remove AVG Security, third party security products are the fastest way to a BSOD in my (long) experience. I can see all the drivers for it in your driver list.

Can you upload your System log as well please? There's nothing obvious in your Application log except for a bunch of Brother printer(?) warnings for a corrupted registry key. But that's not the cause of your errors.

I have no idea at all what's supposed to be in that dump file, it's certainly not a memory dump. Look for the file C:\Windows\Memory.dmp first and if the date and time are valid then upload it to the cloud with a link to it here. If that's not a current dump then look in the folder C:\Windows\Minidumps and upload any relevant dumps (check the date and time). Finally check in C:\Windows\LikeKernelReports and upload any relevant dumps from there (check the date and time).

I can see that your boot drive is an M.2 SSD, we've had a fair few people have curious issues caused by a badly seated M.2 drive. If you don;t mind opening the laptop up then remove and reseat the M.2 drive.

Could you post the full specs from your order page in your account please?
Here's the link from my order page, spydertracks, thought thatt it had already posted.

And here's a copy of my MEMORY dump file

I'll try reseating the M" drive to see if that sorts the issue.

Is the screen issue common as you can see from the screenshots that there is light patches on the screen??

Cheers Steven

We e need the full specs just copy and pasted please in text, that's a link to the configurator, not related to your order at all.

It does look like a saved configuration, its certainly not the default options selected on there :)
Though yes the copy and pasted full spec is easier to read :)

OK lol, heres the full spec copied and pasted :) :) Third time lucky, lmao. Just opened up the laptop and reseated the M2 but when I booted up, I got a System_Service_Exception stop code.

Though I;ll try uninstalling AVG to see if thats sorts out getting these errors as well.

I'm downloading the dump, it looks from the size (2.3GB) that its a kernel dump - which is excellent news. :)

I'll look at it first thing in the morning (I'm 2 hours ahead of the UK here remember ;))

I had a bit of time this evening to look at your dump - and I so hate being right. ;)

The stop code is a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, which means that code running in privileged mode took an unhandled exception. The exception code (0xc0000006) is a STATUS_IN_PAGE_ERROR, that means that the privileged code attempted to read from the paging subsystem (on disk) and encountered an error.

The stack trace of the active thread shows that a series of registry operations were in progress at the time of the error. Normally the registry hives are kept in RAM (they're loaded at boot time) but some of them are loaded into pageable storage. This error happened when a read of a paged out registry hive page contained an error.

The exception record that was generated shows that the function in progress was an nt!HvpGetCellPaged+0x7c which was the read of the registry data in the paged in page. The exception record further shows that the target data that was being read was invalid. The question marks in the exception record (below) indicate invalid data at the pointer location...
Code:
fffff805`82357a0c 8b01 mov eax,dword ptr [rcx] ds:002b:00000175`25ede7e0=????????

So this error is a failure in the registry, the question of course is for what process? And here's where I hate being right - the process in control at the time of the error was AVGsvc.exe. Quelle surprise.

It would seem that AVG has screwed up it's registry settings somehow, either when it was installed or during normal running (or perhaps if you've run a registry cleaner?). My advice therefore remains the same as it was earlier; uninstall AVG. You really don't need it, Windows Defender does a perfectly good job of protecting you and it's free. At the very least I suggest that you uninstall AVG fully and then (if you really insist on keeping it) reinstall it.

When you uninstall AVG use the official AVG uninstall tool(s) from https://support.avg.com/SupportArti...urity&q=How+to+uninstall+AVG&supportType=home

Thanks UBUYSA, I've uninstalled AVG using the official avg uninstaller and will try it and see if that sorts outs the error plus I also use CCleane r pro on my machine as well, will that do anything that would cause any errors?

Cheers Steven

It's best not to use things like ccleaner, they're really obsolete since XP days, modern windows doesn't benefit from these tools, they tend to do more damage than good.

The basic garbage cleaning part of Ccleaner is fine to use - as long as you don't add any files/folders without being certain they really do need garbage cleaning[!]. Don't ever use the registry cleaning tool in there though, in fact be wary of all the other tools in there, @SpyderTracks is spot on that Windows doesn't need registry cleaners and the like these days (TBH it never did).
