Vortex IV - Nvidia - Weird White Screen and HOT Temps!?

I bought a new laptop less than 6 months ago. While gaming the temperature of CPU can reach 98-99.. I have played a few times at this temperature but always propped up on a USB fan! Idle temps are around 40-55 which is still a little weird.. But now I am getting random freezes... and anytime I try and watch a youtube video.. if I try and go full screen (or open a new tab) screen goes white for about 6 seconds.. this isn't norma after a pc restart it's fine for a few hours then bam it's back! what do i do?

Could this be the sign of a GFX card failing...? CPU being over worked? It freezes at basic tasks of even searching windows.. I've completly cleaned any viruses with malwarebytes and comodo.. have some stats hopefully someone can best advise.

I have never cleaned out the vents...

I am unsure which are the ideal temps.

You should definitely have a go at cleaning the vents, from my own experience - my laptop would overheat to the point of shutdown if the fans are too dusty - plus it can affect your cpu/gpu! which you really don't want for a relatively new machine.

Open it up, make sure you remove all the dust from the ventilation area - the fans themselves would need to be dust free too.

After this, heave another look at the temps when gaming, let us know if it helps.

Cheers bro. I cleaned out the vents now! the heatsink was a little clunked with dust but all gone now.. Idle temps are the same if not higher now "50" il give a test with games.. as I tried with watchdogs and noticed loads of drops in FPS compared to playing a few months ago on ultra. :(

You could try a cleanninstallation of Nvidia drivers as well as reapplying thermal paste on the cpu/GPU

We love you Ukraine
I notice your temps don't include graphics card, like on mine for some reason hwmonitor doesn't register the gfx card. That may be warm also, install piriform's speccy and check. A reapply of thermal paste is probably a good idea if temps don't come down with a clean.
