I have purchased this laptop recently and it's on it's way to being built, reason why I bought this laptop was because I was in need of a thinner laptop with great specs for the size, compared to my old Defiance laptop which had since 2016, plus it was time to upgrade since the defiance was having trouble playing recent triple A games and screen hinge has come off.

I was in dilemma on which laptop to choose, and the choices were as follows; Proteus VI 15.6", Recoil 15.6", Recoil RTX and Vyper 17.3

I was initially leaning more to the recoil 15.6, since it had 240Hz aswell and a mechanical keyboard which is also the case with the RTX variant, however I found the keyboard layout to be compact, with the RTX variant I like the fact hat you could pick a variety of desktop grade CPUs.

Unfortunately it came at a cost of being almost 4Kg and I need the mobility, can't be carrying such beast, that's more suitable if you only move once every now and then

The Proteus I mainly found the orange lining in the chassis to be quite nice, however I wanted a 17.3" variant, since I had a 15.6 laptop wanted to see freshness of a 17.3 so that I can be amazed at the screen before I get used to it.

Finally for Vyper this laptop had everything that I wanted from a laptop, its powerful, good keyboard layout, 64GB RAM supported.

I chose 64GB because recently I was doing data analysis and I was using a 4GB computer to do so (only available option at the time and thats where they were stored on) , and it was pretty much freezing up that I could make a cup of coffee and come back with time to spare before it works again, this process however bizarre it may seem is why told myself to pick the highest RAM available, since initially I was going for 32GB, now I can have a peace of mind that when I encounter the next data set, they'll get crunched.

I chose the 2070 RTX because I believe its the desktop variant and I want an 8GB VRAM (I had GTX 965M 2GB) , and the 2080 is a maxQ variant which I don't frankly think is worth it at this moment, and the 2070 super doesn't have that much of a performance improvement compared to the model, so i went for the 2070 simply for being the best value for £ to me.

I will do a review once I have received the laptop.
