Vyper Webcam - reddish hue

My new Vyper Series webcam has a strange reddish hue to it. I'm not sure whether this is:
- a fault specific to me or something common to everyone
- something to do with drivers that can be fixed?
- something that can be fixed another way with third party software?

Anyone else experienced this and or have any solutions. Otherwise pretty happy with it so far.

Hi @hisuwh although im not sure what could be the cause was it always like this or has it just started recently? Might sound odd but is it the lighting in your room perhaps? I figure you've not noticed this with other devices in the same area?

For drivers, if you check your PCS login (on the main PCS page) you should find a link to relevant drivers for your laptop, you could see if there's one for the webcam there.

Alternatively, I'd suggest giving PCS a call as it could just be a simple setting or something you can diagnose with them.over the phone.

Thanks for the tips @steaky360.

It has always been like this, I've only had the laptop a couple of weeks. The lighting may be a factor but compared to the webcam on my old laptop it is significantly more red.

I will try the drivers. It's not a deal breaker to be honest its just kinda irritating when I compare it.

The black plastic around the camera and the lights here:

I'm pretty sure thats meant to be there. When I peeled the protective bit of plastic off (that was red) this came off as well.

I checked my account and couldn't see a driver specifically for the webcam either.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think this is maybe just a subtle difference that irritates me. I've had someone else tell me the camera quality looks really good though.

OH, right, yeah that's definitely supposed to be there!

Are you sure it's not just the lighting as this picture has come out quite reddish also?

So these are two photos taken on my old Lenovo laptop (top) and my new pcspecialist vyper (bottom). Now I've seen them side by side it looks like the vyper camera is massively cranking both the brightness and the contrast - and that is amplifying the redder lighting that is present in this room

You should have contrast and colour settings in the camera app you’re using (Skype, zoom)? Should be fully adjustable.

Ok thanks. I'll look at that.
Guess I was just hoping for a system wide setting so I didn't have to change it in all the apps I use
