Weird stuttering in games

Hi there, I have been getting weird stuttering in games, it is like a small hiccup which can be annoying.

I originally thought it was the 6700 XT drivers but I have since changed Graphics card to different ones (Currently 3070 TI I used DDU to remove AMD drivers when switching to Nvidia but have since wiped the drives and reinstalled windows) and the stuttering is still there
which is making me think it is another component in my pc which is causing it.

I have tried a lot of things to fix the stuttering which includes stress testing the gpu/cpu, testing the HDD/NVME and testing the ram, nothing seems to fix it.

I can supply some of these stress tests if needed and videos of benchmarking etc.

Was it a full clean install of Windows or a reset? And when it was done, did you run Windows update repeatedly until no more were available?

If you haven’t already uninstalled BullGuard, get on that straight away as it causes lots of problems for people.

It was not a full clean install, it was a reset, windows is currently up to date, I do not have BullGuard installed

An off the wall suggestion but are you using display port ? Can you try a different cable or try it on HDMI ? I noticed a few glitches with mine on a 144hz display and swapped to an after market cable and it’s solved the issue.

I have tried 2 cables, one of them is a bit old though and I don't think it is the best but I am using HDMI not DP

I would do a proper clean install from scratch, a reset will have all the same bugs in the installation.

You also really want to use DP for a gaming monitor on a PC.

Also, have you checked your temps? Those coolers can be known to fail and it's worth monitoring the temps with something like HWMonitor:

My temps seem fine, cpu max temp while testing some games was 65C and gpu was 67C

I don't have an overclock or undervolt on anything while I was testing after the clean install, beforehand I did have a slight undervolt on the gpu for better power consumption.

I already have checked device manager and seen the intel graphics wasn't there, enabled it in bios and now it let me update the chipset. here is a picture of my device manager anyway.

The intel driver support thing told me I had an update that needed to install, this is the error I got.

Edit: I no longer have the intel graphics in device manager, it is now in other devices with a "?"

Hmmm... When you're reinstalling windows are you using the latest image from microsoft?

Are you deleting all partitions before installation?

The chipset still isn't installed, there's something fishy going on with your windows image I'm assuming.

I used the the installation tool to install it to a usb to boot from (I assume that would give the latest iso?) and I am almost certain I deleted every partition before installing it. Could the chipset be the reason I am experiencing these stutters in games?

Absolutely, the system isn't configured without the chipset, it's the primary driver for all the motherboard lanes, you'll be getting PCIe issues all over the place.

Have you run all windows updates? Can you take a screenshot of your windows update page?

I had updated a lot today when windows first installed, as I opened it now this started downloading.
