Alright guys, hope you're all keeping safe.
Anyway question, Build is going well, estimated date is 30th Sept but expect that to slip slip to the right, Samsung G9 on the other hand is turning into the nightmare lol, estimated sometime between now and 10th Nov
with some saying 19th!!!
Anyway main thing about todays post, apart from looking for sympathy about Samsung is what brand of 3080 is PC Specialist putting in their builds, hearing reports of crashing to desktop (stole that as no idea what that was until YT told me lol) but only certain brands of the 3080 are doing it? Does anyone know or is it random??

Go onto your order and there’s an option to upgrade. Make your selection and then you’ll pay the difference on the next page 👍
Cheers, I'm hearing the Asus 3080 isn't having the issues so think I will just do that, very new to all this so want to try get it right first time, as we all do lol
Yeah, I suppose it’s one of the risks of being an early adopter when it comes to tech stuff. I got into the habit of only getting a new console about six months after they first released so that any teething problems could be addressed.

Doh!!! ok, so best just to go ahead and order the Asus srix 3080 then and await, not like I don't have time to wait seeing as the monitor is not confirmed date

Id say at the moment it’s probably worthwhile, more updates will start coming through now that all the pros are aware of it. Buildzoid is going to get a handful of partner models to test and he’s a true expert on this kind of thing. Even if we don’t have a full fix shortly, I expect we’ll get a conclusive list of models that are affected, and hopefully Palit are exempt like Zotac are and then you can revert your gpu change once more is clear.
Got email from Samsung on Friday about a stock alert for G9, straight on and purchased. Came yesterday, but as ill prepared as I am, the dedicated desk area has not been built yet so in its, tight, but temporary area it has gone, and with nothing but the PS to plug into it too
Well @SpyderTracks you were not wrong, the G9 is a thing of utter beauty, and thats with only the PS as I haven't even got the PC from PCS yet, but when it does turn up I have no doubt this thing will look 1000 times better.
@steaky360 had said your the top man for set ups, and as much as I don't like agreeing with him (he's a friend in real life ) I have to say he's right, which puts me even more at ease over the upcoming PC build you recommended.
Now need to look for info on best display settings for gaming etc. which guessing because of all the issue and recalls it may be hard to find
first time on imgur so the links probs not working

I was surprised by the curve, its a sharp curve, but strangely when you sit in front of it everything seems natural, very little head movement which I thought would happen.
I'd say its taken about 2 days to get really comfortable with it, but I reckon once PCS send the PC the graphics will make it even easier to use, if that makes sense
Notice they are out of stock again, they monitor that is
It gets better every time I switch it on
Cant wait to get the PC and take full advantage of the display......The PC will truly make this beast shine, cheers for pointing me to the right place for the knowledge, and of course putting up with the whatsapps
