What do ye guys think of this?

Fans: If you went with the 4000D Airflow that was recommended, then you shouldn't need any more fans....cases like the airflow have been designed optimally for a certain number of fans so, strange as it seems, adding more fnas may alter the airflow and lead to worse airflow not better. Imagine something like a Jumbo Jet which has been designed for airflow across the wings..now imagine adding winglets at the end of the wing...whilst i may improve things, chances are it would make things worse as it changes the airflow

SIlver warranty: SIlver basically increases courier costs from one month to a year if it needs returning...however, things are slightly different when outside the UK though not sure how.

Delivery: Yes, it's all included in the price. Your PC, unless something has changed, will be delivered by Fedex
Thanks gj i asked about the fans I would've ended up adding some myself and messing up a bit, about the silver warranty i might exclude is cause ive heard others saying it doesn't work outside the UK and with brexit I'd assume thats affected it a bit anyways, was a bit worried that when time came to order I'd end up paying some on delivery but good to know I won't :D

Looks good.

The Welcome Book (a 50 page book) is not to be confused with the Welcome Pack (The Box the book sits in) :cautious:

It's basically a guide to computers and runs through the basics...setting up, what the various components are for, installing Windows, some basic troubleshooting, warranty information, stuff like that.

You then get your Welcome Pack which includes said Welcome Book as well as your spare parts (bits that weren't used in the build so spare SATA cables for the PSU etc)
Ah right so just some general basic knowledge for pc maintenance ect. good to know, im gonna order it soon Thanks for all the help guys :D

I wouldn’t save anymore on the case. That’s the lowest case I would recommend which still provides decent cooling. If you went for a cheaper case I would recommend then spending more on the CPU cooler which defeats the point :)

The psu you can lower if you want but wouldn’t drop below 750 really. By the time you upgrade in a few years we don’t know what the power usage for GPUs will be. Current trend is each gen has more current gen. of course you can always upgrade your PSU at the same time as the GPU if it requires it instead but overall makes the PC more expensive and can be a pain to switch over :)
Sorry to necro this thread but do you know of a case that is similar but has 1 extra usb in the front and can I change order after paying

Yeah you can make amendments in the order section of your account right up until it goes into testing.

Can I ask how many USB ports you want in total on your front panel?

Adding your own fans to the 4000D is the best solution. As it is a high airflow case, it can potentially get loud, so i’d recommend ML120’s

Honestly just one more need 1 for my headset and 1 to tether to so 2 in total though if it's not possible I can always plug me headset around the back

Looking at the spec's the 4000D has

1x USB 3.1 Type-C Port

1x USB 3.0 port,

1x Audio/Microphone Jack

On the front. So one option with that case would be to get a USB C to USB adaptor like this for your headset -

So you can plug them both in the front.

Or go for a case like the Icue 220T which has 2 normal USB ports rather than a USBC port

Can I ask if there is a reason you can think of why you'd go for the 400d over that one , and when it says the fans are addressable does that mean they are included?

Presuming you are talking about tethering a phone to the PC, could you not just get a cable with a USB-C connector? That's how I tether my phone to my laptop (admittedly it's a phone with a USB-C port on it, but USB-C to Lightning cables exist fairly cheaply).

Addressable usually refers to the fan lighting and it's control. The fans on the iCUE case each have 8 separate LEDs so you can, for example, have 8 different colours on the fan...this is what is classed as aRGB....normal RGB merely allows a single colour on the fan.

As to the iCUE versus the 4000D. The 4000D is a bigger case but either would be fine for your specs....the iCUE is more interesting due to the RGB lighting if that's your thing
Ah right, just took another look at it looks like it comes with 3 fans but from the look of the images it seems they are all stuck on the front, wonder if I changed would I need to get extra fans to serve as outflow, btw what happens the money i spent on the other case as the iCUE seems to be cheaper than the 400D

Decent spec there.
Hmm I don't understand what you mean but thanks?

Yeah I'd be going from a phone that uses a micro usb, Is it possible to get a micro to usb C, I was thinking it might cause me to lose something internet wise

4000D comes with 2 fans as standard but they aren’t RGB. One rear exhaust and one front mounted. You’d realistically want to fit your own. I have 6 ML120’s, whilst gaming, my cpu and gpu sit at around 55 degrees and the system is almost silent, with fans set to a custom fan curve.

Micro-B will (unless it's the really weird connector) just be plain old USB 2.0. This can run just fine over a USB-C connector.

In general, USB-C can run any form of USB. If it can run on a USB-A port, it can run on a USB-C port. (The whole USB world is confusing as anything, but this is a decent rule of thumb.)

But a cable like this one should be fine:

(And this, in theory, is faster, lower latency and generally more reliable than Bluetooth.)

It's kind of moot though as OP would just connect to wifi?

You wouldn't want to run a PC off tethered, can't think any reason where that's a good idea.
