Thanks. Budget is about £2,300 (i.e. the price of the above spec). Purpose is multi-use. I do some gaming (mainly older titles) but I wouldn't say I'm a heavy gamer. The recoil is designed to be used with the modular watercooler, without that it will throttle, it’s really a desktop replacement rather than a laptop.

Also it has Liquid Metal rather than thermal paste. To replace this you’d need to send it back to PCS for them to do as Liquid Metal is corrosive and electrically conductive so application has to be just right.

Any reason for windows pro? Are you doing domain integration?

This would be the best laptop alternative, have mimicked the same specs except windows home. It’s not like old windows where pro gave loads of extra features, pro now just allows for domain joining and has hyper v and bitlocker

Many thanks. I guess I'll not notice the difference between 14 and 24 cores? You're right, Pro isn't needed then.
