I've just bought Alan Wake Remastered and Alan Wake 2 from the Epic Games store. 75% off the former and 50% off the latter. I still have 5 days off from work so they should keep me busy until then.

Also bought Firewatch after it was mentioned above. Might start that this evening.

Currently got 3 games on the go - Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Metaphor: ReFantazio & TOEM: A Photo Adventure.

Infinite Wealth has been one of my personal games of the year as I mentioned in the thread on the topic. It's a JRPG that I've been working on all year and with now more than 127 hours in the game, I'm on the second to last chapter. I think I'll have completed the main story at some point in the next week or so, then another few weeks into 2025 I should have completed the side content that I've not got around to yet. It's a big boy (as JRPGs tend to be), but the finish line is in sight!

Metaphor: ReFantazio is another JRPG that was in contention for game of the year, but I bought after hearing there are Scousers on the voice acting cast list. It's going to be an 80 or so hour game. The only real criticism I have of it so far is that it has some lengthy cutscenes that can't be paused, so I can only really play the game when I'm certain I'm not going to be disturbed by the real world. I'll get it finished at some point in spring/summer 2025 hopefully.

TOEM: A Photo Adventure is a hand-drawn adventure game about photography. It involves exploring various areas and solving puzzles, typically by finding and taking photographs of objects. This is another game I expect I'll have completed in the next week or two - potentially might spend a sizable chunk of Boxing Day on it.

I finished TOEM last night as expected. I'm going to add Frog Detective 2 into my short-term game slot.

The first Frog Detective game took me about 45 minutes to complete - the second and third games are about 90 minutes to two hours so I may be able to complete both of those today or tomorrow. I really like the handdrawn art style of these games and I bought the 3 game bundle at about a tenner in order to support the devs as much as I reasonably could. As I tend to play more indie-type games these days, I'm happy enough to buy some games at near enough full price now and then.
