Wifi is unreliable

Hi

PC spec below.
Had this problem before on xmas 2020 bought PC.

Wifi drops frequently. Cannot find network. Wifi is slow.

Have installed a new driver as recommended here previously.
Have reset all network settings.
Have restarted all network settings.
Have uninstalled card and reinstalled.

Problem still persists.
Side by side comparison with other PC, laptop, phones - shows no fault with wifi or home router on any other device.

If someone has experienced this and solved it, I would be most grateful.

Also, curious is this a symptom of a faulty card installation?

Have had enough problems with this PC to suggest that no testing - or nothing substantial - was carried out prior to shipping.

Thanks in advance.

Has anything occurred since you got it working ok in this thread:

Have you checked that the drivers havent updated themselves through windows update or something and reverted back to a previous driver or one that doesnt work - have you checked the driver you used from the thread above hasnt changed?

Try reinstalling that driver?

It's only a 2.4 GHz wifi card, its going to be slow due to having deal with the rest of the world his wife and kids on that frequency

It has returned to working intermittently. So no real change.

The issue isn't the speed. I can understand that. It's dropping the connection and not finding the network which is basic functionality.
If there is an issue with the card or connectors - someone might have had something similar and have a fix before I send it back.

Have you screwed the wireless antennae on to the card? (This is by far one of the most common issues)

Does it work ok when hardwired to the router ?
