Will the 2000 series cards go on sale- if so, when?

With rumours of the 3000 series cards coming in September, obviously sellers will want to get rid of their stock of the previous gen cards. Anyone have any idea when will these cards go on sale for a new build?

Nothing has been even announced yet, there won't be any sales until at least after the 3000 series announcements. But it's anyones guess really.

If they go the same way that nvidia have done it in the last 3 generations, they announce the halo card (3080ti or rumoured 3090) and 'top' card (3080) then a month or 2 later they release the 'normal' card 3070, then the 'entry' card (3060), this usually takes a quarter as they don't want to burn their bridges on itchy trigger fingers wanting the latest with the lower cards when people would get the top cards because they can't wait, after a few months of that we sometimes see the third parties trying to move their previous gen cards. Was screwed last gen due to the mining craze, but that's how it goes.

Don't expect discounts any time soon, or laptops with the next gen cards outside of workstation quadro ones.

1080ti still command a premium after all....

With 10th Gen, they announced the 1080 first, 1080ti didn't come for another year and that's how it always used to be.

The 2000 series was unusual when they announced the ti first, that was the first time they'd done that in a long time.

I would completely agree though, discounts won't be happening before september I wouldn't imagine and even then I don't think it will be a lot.
