Will be using it for gaming only on a 1080p monitor to start with but will eventually get a 1440p monitor. 1500£ budget . Anything you think needs changing ? Thanks

I would always recommend getting an aftermarket cooler, it just depends on your budget. The cooler the cpu the longer it can run at higher speeds, you can get a very decent AIO for > 100 gbp

Case fans are pretty much the same, if you don't mind it being a bit louder, then go for it. Providing you have the budget. It's definitely sufficient, but personally I'd like it to be efficient also

I'd also strongly suggest a monitor upgrade soon. This is kind of wasted, or at least overkill, for 1080p.

Thanks mate ! I think this is what I’ll go for ! I’ll Maybe change the 6700xt to 6750xt to get it to 1500£ . And you don’t recommend norton Evan the free trial? And will the windows boot drive be on that 1st ssd drive you picked ? Thanks again

I don't believe the 6750 XT is worth paying the extra for. There is only a tiny improvement but a substantial increase in cost.

No, not even the free trial, because then you have to do the work of uninstalling it, which is difficult as it clings on and refuses to leave!

Yes, Windows will be on the 500GB SSD.

If you want to bump up the cash to £1500(ish) I would look at the cooling. The H100i would be my choice, even with the 5700X (which is reasonably cool). It gives a bit of airflow through the case as well :)

thanks just doing it now . That h100i takes me abit outa price range Evan if I change the 6750xt to a 6700xt . Are the frostflow coolers better than the 212 cool master? Or is the h100i a must really? Sorry for all the questions. Just wanna get this right 😅

You could happily reduce the RAM to 16Gb for now, and then add another 16Gb at a later date as an easy upgrade, that should then afford the H100i.

I wouldn't use a cheap or even cheapish liquid cooler. There are just more points of failure; more can go wrong. Go for the Corsair one or an air cooler.

And I agree: 16GB RAM, a 6700XT and the 6700 XT would be a great set of choices.
