Leaving £400 in the budget to buy a monitor that's actually worthy of the system.

A £2000+ gaming PC is completely wasted on a cheap monitor. You should be looking at 1440p 144hz as a minimum.

?

You're asking if the PC you have specced could later be upgraded to handle a 2080 ti?

That's mad, when with this budget you could just buy a better balanced PC with a 2080 ti outright (especially with a Ryzen R5 CPU)

In summary,
- your storage configuration is terrible value and not ideal for performance
- you're wasting a shedload on asus branded tat
- you're massively overspending on the mobo
- you're buying a sound card you don't need
- you should be looking at a better balanced system, with a much better monitor

You should be getting more for your money

With respect to Ghosthud, I'd not sure I'd agree on the i9 CPU as being worth it, a 1080p monitor (which that is?) as being fitting for a £2400 budget, and a 2070 seems a bit weak for that kind of price. But at least for the monitor, there's always personal taste :)

recommendation is based on £2400 budget, Esports specific titles seem to be the aim so maximum FPS is always a given.

The games outlined love high core frequencies but could easily get away with the much cheaper 9700K, typically though from my experience the above suggestions means that the customer is going to use OBS at some point.

RTX 2070 is more than enough and price/performance guides place the 2080 - 2080Ti in a dissapointing market segment.

Fair comments.

Any price-performance guide that doesn't slam the 2070 as well as the other two is probably not worth reading tbh :/ Certainly at PCS's prices. 50%+ price increase over RTX 2060 for 15% performance increase. The 2080 is worse performance per £, but the nosedive in value after a 2060 is much steeper on the 2070. It's in a terrible position in the market!

1440p is a perfectly sensible (and popular) choice for PUBG and Destiny 2 so I gather.

As for the CPU, PUBG is rather happy with Ryzen CPUs, as is Destiny.

Certainly the OP can chase 1080p framerates but then they could also go for a 240hz monitor with this kind of hardware and these titles :)

They've got options for this budget, definitely.

Hi, just a quick question, if you amend your order while it is in testing, will they upgrade it and how long is the delay.

I play pubg (obsessively) with a Ryzen 7, a 2080ti and a 1440p screen. The fps are great, 110+ but it is the screen that really makes the difference to my performance - the extra detail makes the world of difference to spotting snipers.

That said, if you are in testing it might be too late for changes. I guess you can call PCS and ask.

I work on some ANN projects, so luckily work bought my gpu for me. The screen was £550 from Amazon and the PC was about £1300 (Oussebon and several others on the forum helped me find a good, efficient build).

For pubg, I think there is no real benefit to 130 fps over 110 or 110 over 90 - good enough is good enough (or is this just my tired old eyes talking?) The extra detail from a 1440p is amazing, though, and with a strong gpu to drive it I can set the view distance to ultra, so things like cars render from further away, letting me spot them first.

I can't find the info, but if in testing (or later in the process) I think here is a small admin charge to change stuff - presumably because it means they have to take it all apart again and rebuild it.
Note: this may have changed, I know it's what used to happen though.
