But the 4090 does not draw 850W. That is what Nvidia recommends as total system power. I'm not saying it's a good idea, just clarifying what Nvidia are actually saying.
Dang pcs using after market is that good or bad or more power bruh

It's completely normal and fine. They're not after market: they're add-in board partners, so the cards are actually made by Zotac or Palit or Gigabyte or Asus using chips made by Nvidia. That's the case for the overwhelming majority of graphics cards.

Yeah, my point was that's only accounting for founders edition cards wnich pull far less wattage than aftermarket.

And nVidia refuse to acknowledge transient spikes as an issue as as soon as they do, it means they'd have to recall or offer people payouts to upgrade their PSU's.

I got where you were coming from though, apologies, was just highlighting the difference in power draws between founders edition and aftermarket.

The majority of the market are board partner cards.

Founders edition cards are a tiny fraction of those produced.

They're cheaper because they've got lower clocks and limited power.

I have purchased the 'Z690 Aorus Ultra Wifi' Motherboard. Do I need to purchase an NVME with a heatsink? Or will the large metal plate on the motherboard which the NVME sits under suffice? I presume the NVME will fit under the plate with a heatsink?
