Wolfenstein: New Order

Yes, the game is massive. And I ran in on a sub-par spec desktop (i3) and it destroyed it....menu systems seemed very slick and fast and I was looking forward to playing it....But, as soon as it started to load the cutscene/first scene....less than 1fps....My PC simply died.

50GB is poor coding so recommend only the very best gaming rig to play this beast......

...and I just bought mine :)

Wonder where the size is? I know after I installed Titafall at 50gig it was due to 35gig of sound (lols) because they tried to cater to lower end machines...or summit (I don't pretend to know what I am talking about :D ).

So wonder what's up with Wolfy :)

Just checked on Steam and min requirement is i7.
Requires i7 as minimum?

It's a very vague statement given that there are old 2 core Core i7's. I can't believe they would do better than an up to date overclocked i5.
I'd certainly wait a bit to play it. It looks like the latest Nvidia drivers might be causing some issues, there is a site that reports some issues were relieved by installing the Nvidia beta driver that is available.

I just have a lot to play atm, so am going to hold out for the inevitable (slight) discount in the Summer Sale :D

The problem I have is I don't really do a lot of gaming - and I can't justify spending £40 on something I don't have much time to play!

Just bought this today! £29.99 from Game. It was actually cheaper than on Steam...

I did enjoy the "Can your PC handle this game?" at the till :)

Dear Spuff,
I've just finished playing WNO and with my i5 and GTX 780 and the game played at max with consistently high frame rate and I had zero issues.
It was over for me in 3 days (I had to turn down the difficulty half way through), but it was a very good game. Although it's all very fantastical, if you have a knowledge of real Nazi history you'll be reminded of the inspirations behind some of it.

I'm looking forward to it! Once it installs... It's now installing updates... sigh. I'll probably play it tomorrow now as it's late and I cba. It's taken flippin' ages to install! Oh I just looked - it's finished. Still tomorrow though.

Looking forward to it :)

Wow! Really good so far!

I really don't like these FPS games (tend to prefer third person or open world), but this one is good fun. Reminds me of being a young kid and playing on the original!

I suffered one crash when you first fight the armoured dude in the room with the walls that come in... not sure why. Temps were spot on...

Hah! That means nothing!

I've just experienced some lag after updating my NVIDIA drivers to the mates - but they seem to have randomly gone away now :/

I posted a few screenshots over in the screenshot thread :)

Ok, it's official. It's awesome. I don't want to post spoilers. But lets say there is an awesome bonus feature, a nightmare.
