If you want a larger case than the Lancool 205c Mesh (350mm GPU clearance), consider the Lancool 215 (cheaper, quieter, and with slightly higher GPU clearance than the 4000D - 370mm vs 360mm) or the Corsair 3500X (slightly cheaper, much higher GPU clearance 410mm vs 360mm). I would stick with certain ATX 3.x PSUs (1200W RMx SHIFT) that have transient spike protection and let you to upgrade without restriction for the entire life of the system. If you want to save even more money, choose the 7800XT, which performs similarly to the 7900GRE.

That’s a good point, have there been any suggestions about increased GPU size on the 5000 series? I’m really hoping they stick to the same physical layout as they’re already crazy chonky !

But allowing for GPU length is a very good idea

My case has a Max GPU length of 300mm and it limits me to only a couple of aftermarket 4080s which of course come at around a £200 premium for the pleasure, don’t think there are any 4090s that would fit.

Well, who knows?

We have to assume there will be some increase, given the leaks about the 5090's TGP of 600W (150W more than the 4090, crazy ).
I believe having more clearance cannot be harmful in any way. :)

Yeah 100%, it’s a needless way to limit upgrades not allowing for the space.

Why would this affect the pc someone is going to get ?
As @sck451 said, the monitor is the system's output; if does not match the other components will create a bottleneck.

Panel type is significant since it influences the entire visual quality of the experience, along with color accuracy and angle views.

The size must match the resolution, which defines the pixels per inch density (PPI).

The response time (ms) is the amount of time it takes your monitor to transition from one color to another (typically from black to white to black again or grey to grey scale); if it's too high, ghosting will occur.

Input lag (ms) is the latency between our action and the actual execution of the on-screen command (which is critical in gaming).

Which 1440p monitor would you recommend?

Has your budget increased then? Pointless getting a 1440p monitor if you can only get a 1080p system, that would not be good.
The 7700x and the 7900gre should be good for 1440p no ?

Also a quick question would personally adding a m.2 SSD later on void or affect the warranty?

Only if they’re in a system that can support them?

There are about 30 components that have to balance together, I’m sure we’ve been through all this before though .

So do you think the selected components can't support 1440p ? 32 GB 6000hz ?
Which components? I have no idea what budget or what build we're talking about, so far you've said this
idealy under £1600 just for a pc
which we've already outlined is not enough for a 1440p system.

So we're back to square one?

Round and round we go, trolling along the way, tra-la-la

The components I posted the thread with are they no good enough

7 7700x 7900gre 32gb 6000mhz
750w modular psu. 2TB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4

The total cost of the pc is £1659

The build you posted is not well designed.

The minimum configuration for a decent, ugreadable and suitable 1440p gaming PC is in post 18, in my opinion.
