It's also worth checking the card itself hasn't come loose - occasionally in transit it can happen so it is probably worth popping the side panel off and ensuring it's pushed firmly in place.
Is there a Fn/Function button on the keyboard (usually towards the bottom-left) and if there is, is there an associated "F" key on the top row that has a WiFi symbol on it? Not sure on PCS desktops but many laptops have a button to turn the WiFi on or off.
WiFi icon is the one looking like this:
I think the #e was being interpreted as /e - I'd have suggested trying just # but you've fixed it already :)
Edit: The reason I think it's not a variable is if you take that one line of code and drop it into a PHP test site, it returns an error around /e not being supported - despite there...
If it's the look and feel, with a bit of work you can make Windows 10 look almost identical to Windows 7 with a little bit of work.
There are a couple of choices, but Open Shell (used to be called Classic Shell until a couple of years ago) will do it...
I am of the same mind - 1080 is ok (and only ok) on a laptop but 1440 is the absolute minimum that is comfortable for working on, in my personal opinion - especially on larger screens. You just get so much more real estate to work on.
4k - I wasn't a huge fan of this. Again this is my personal...
Quick way to check - right click the start button (or Windows Key + X), choose PowerShell (Admin)* and then run get-tpm
It'll tell you if it's enabled.
Now...I've seen some manufacturers where it's called PTT in the BIOS but it's effectively a TPM 2.0 or 2.1 and this needs to be enabled just...
Take a look through my posts - I can be quite bruising and have called mods (and others) out when I've believed that they've overstepped the mark.
I see nothing in this thread that is particularly bad - OP posted a ridiculous build at a ridiculous amount of money - presumably expecting gasps of...
They also have to balance that if they price a console too high, people will just think "Hey...I can buy a PC for that amount!" Now, whether that would be a PC that could come close to the spec for the same money is doubtful of course, but there is a mindset that consoles are "cheap and...
I seem to recall there is a fee to produce games as well.
Interestingly in an earlier thread, I'd said the same about the xbox and Spyder corrected me - MS were finally making a small profit per device, but when I worked for them I'd seen internal docs that showed it was a loss per sale.
I...
Rather than being rude, perhaps you should try. Start by forming whole sentences rather than just random disjointed words.
No one you're talking at here works for PCS. Everyone is a volunteer and many, like Spydertacks have helped untold people with his expertise.
You're being repeatedly told...
There's usually a small mounting bracket inside the laptop (if it needs one) that you remove and attach the SATA SSD.
Some laptops don't even have that and it just slides right on in.
Either way, there should be no need to buy any kind of caddy.
Don't forget even with a new OS there will be a ton of stuff going on the background - I know 2004 is supposed to back off the indexing service so it doesn't cause so much of a slowdown but it's not unusual for some things to feel a tad sluggish for a while.
I would suggest a clean install at this stage may be the best way forwards.
I would backup your files etc and download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool. Build a USB stick, boot to it and reinstall from there.
You could also try and run rstrui.exe - that is the standalone System Restore executable and bypasses the Settings box.
Windows K + R then type rstrui.exe and hit OK
What's more you need to read up on all of the CPU issues such as SPECTRE that Intel cannot fix because it's in the microcode of their CPU's.
That is just one of many security issues that they've faced and almost as many either cannot be mitigated at all, can only be mitigated partially or can...
