Hey guys I think we may have this one sussed thanks to Dunmodoh doing some testing for us :)
By removing the SSD, it now gets past the 'stall' but now gets stuck as the OS drive has been removed. We'll want to get that SSD swapped via either RC replacement (just the SSD) or RMA and then get...
They may have found issues and removed the support if this the case. It seems to vary from board to board so must rely on a lot of things. Is iCUE to to date?
Hello there Dunmodoh, I can see you've been dealing with one of our support agents who I have been advising.
We think the issue is with one of the SSDs, the screen it is sticking on is the POST screen, if it sticks here it is normally an issue with one of the storage drives. I've been led to...
For general day-to-day usage, you should be fine, with Intel's management these days you tend to find the CPU speed often gets no-where near max when using standard run-of-the-mill apps.
Only gaming/rendering/editing/high level processing would be affected as a rule.
Just to update on this, if your motherboard shows up in iCUE it is actually supported, click on the motherboard, go to the lighting setup and press + to add a profile, iCUE will then control these RGBs, be careful with clashes with Armory Crate but they normally go fairly well hand in hand if...
Sorry Skippy I never saw the reply on Friday.
It looks okay from here, those two wires coming away from the fans on the 1st image are the ones we want to trace, I can't see if they're connected from here you'd likely need to take the other case side off.
If it's all connected but still not...
Good morning FuzzBall :)
Regarding the offset, the value you select should add RPM to the existing fan curve, so if the fan curve says it should (for example) run at 40% fan on 40°C and you add an offset of 10% it will run at 50% at 40°C and so on so forth as the scale goes up. Hope that makes...
Good morning NodeTG, it sounds like the pump has indeed run into some kind of issue. The air bubble theory is a good one and is something that can affect the coolers, normally if this is the case you can 'knock' the air out if you tap the cooler gently when it is making the noise if you wanted...
Windows reset will only affect the installation drive, so if you have a Windows drive (C: ) and a secondary drive (D: for example) only C: would be affected :) So if you are doing a reset for re-sell purposes I would format any additional drives prior to resetting.
Hope that helps!
Sadly not as Spydertracks mentioned, Corsair is proprietary and has different config/cabling so they're rather incompatible, Corsair rely on LED counts that are preconfigured, for me this is why their stuff tends to work much better IMO.
The Control Center/Gaming Center software tends to override these, I would recommend using the profiles through this software as it has more control over the EC firmware :)
Thanks for your post Fuzzball.
1. The offset feature lets you just bump it one way or the other when it is in automatic mode, but usually more emphasis on the boost, the fans don't like being restricted which is why they tend to follow a power profile, they are quite well-tuned to react to...
For this type of set-up, I would use it as an exhaust (blowing air out)
Did you add case fans to the front when you moved the cooler (or were they already there?) - if not you might want to add one or two as intakes to the front so the exhaust at the top would work correctly.
