You could also try swapping the sata cables around - do you use a surge protector plug/extension btw?
If that also doesn't help In then it may have just died - SSHD's I believe are very much like SSDs in the fact they give no warning and suddenly one morning are dead :( (normally leaving you...
HI @Sting369 since these forums belong to PCSpecialist who sell custom built PC's and laptops, I'm afraid we are not allowed to discuss competitor machines
As Alltruism said if you want to look at PCSpecialist specs we can help, but otherwise, afraid not.
I'm going to close this thread but if...
Well on the configurator it has a countdown timer for when you need to order it by to get it before Christmas (unless you have pre-order stuff), and its currently still at 3days 4 hours ish as of now as I write this - I reckon you should be fine :) (obviously exceptions can happen but I'm pretty...
I would however do it quickly if you are going to @Ovi , they may need it cancelled and reordered because its a different platform, and if you do need to do that then you need to have ordered by Saturday if you want it before Christmas
Also please note we can only help with PCSpecialist specs (which that does not look like), not specs or self-builds from elsewhere.
If you want help speccing up a PCSpecialist machine though I'm sure a few can help :)
All extra bits and pieces than come with the components that are not used in the build should be in the welcome pack for you (or at least in the big box if they don't fit in the welcome pack)
Normally the NVidia cards that are provided by PCS that are not the ASUS ones are Palit, Zotac or Gigabyte, the brand and exact variant of the model entirely depends what they have at the time of your build.
Theyre all much of a muchness really, personally from PCS my current is Gigabyte...
When you don't buy it with an OS its normally best to do a clean install, just cos the occasional thing may be missing, it can work perfectly fine but sometimes all sorts of weird stuff can happen - just because its an install used for testing rather than anything else.
Whether this is the...
Anyways, before this possibly gets further down a rabbit hole we dont want to go down, if you do want advice on the spec as a whole, or anything else you are welcome to start a thread for it or continue in this thread (though I presume you'd want to start another) :)
I'm glad a few answered...
I think BlackCoffee17 was asking why the heavier thicker one had soldered RAM :) (personally I have no idea, but then I know very little about laptops)
It does look like a saved configuration, its certainly not the default options selected on there :)
Though yes the copy and pasted full spec is easier to read :)
If you could post your system specs please - instructions are in here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/when-posting-for-technical-support.77839/
Also some details about when it happens, and exactly what happens at the time.
I don't have kids so my thoughts may not be quite what you were looking for, also as someone with an immune system that is a bit of a moron (I got my third immune system disease about a year ago lol) so I might be a tad biased, I think they should be :)
I'm still waiting for the text from my docs for my booster jab (it should be due at about the end of this month - ie about 6 months after the 2nd jab) - I had AZ for my first two but my docs have said all boosters from them will be Pfizer (no matter what you had for the first two)
You can see all the review machines here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/reviews/
They have all been reviewed in various places (the review is linked on that page) and have discounts but are set-specs - if you change the specs you lose the nice discount (you can change things like accessories...
