PCSPECIALIST Can someone check this configuration over please.

...although a nice new 120Hz OLED TV in the Black Friday sales could be seen as a compromise ;)

PCSPECIALIST A gaming PC for my 15 year old nephew

The wide 1440p (3440x1440p) not-too-curved versions are becoming very popular, and even the OLED ones are coming down in price from their £1400 peak when they came out. I have an older generation Alienware one, but the panel tech has moved on a lot to mitigate some of the issues around burn-in...

PCSPECIALIST A gaming PC for my 15 year old nephew

Case CORSAIR iCUE 5000X RGB MID TOWER GAMING CASE - better quality case & fans than the unknown PCS-branded ones (I think the Lumin is a Gamdias Neso P1, but have no experience of that company's quality) - and will use the same control software (Corsair iCUE) as the AIO fans Processor (CPU) AMD...

PCSPECIALIST A gaming PC for my 15 year old nephew

Do you know what monitor he has? Make & model, or resolution & refresh rate? This will inform the GPU choice - which is a huge part of the cost of a gaming PC. Do you know if he's doing anything significant other than gaming on the PC, e.g. hours of video editing, 3d rendering, animation, music...

    PCSPECIALIST Check this spec

The fans in the 3500X RGB are addressable. You can make it quieter or noisier depending on the profile, and it will change noise levels depending on the temp of the coolant - so if it was used to try and cool a 14900K then I'd expect it to be much louder than trying to cool a 9800X3D. However...

PCSPECIALIST Unable to access pc in safe mode

Surely all your files are on the HDD? So if it's just the SSD that's failed, then a replacement and a new install of Windows will get you up & running...but we don't know if the SSD has died or not. Can you get into Start Up Repair as detailed in the links provided previously?

PCSPECIALIST Unable to access pc in safe mode

That looks like it's got a more recent BIOS than the manual shows, as the PTT (Platform Trust Technology) item has been renamed to TPM (Trusted Platform Module)...but it's the same thing.

    PCSPECIALIST GCC driver updates

I get everything other than AMD motherboard chipset drivers (and BIOS) via Windows Update (e.g. drivers for Alienware, Intel wifi/ethernet/bluetooth, realtek audio, AMD Display / System Software). Currently the AMD Chipset version installed is v6.07.22.037 (from 26th July) and there's been...

    PCSPECIALIST GCC driver updates

It's probably because the buggy driver update software built into the Gigabyte motherboard software (and most other manufacturers) does not have full access rights to install stuff. I'd go to the AMD website and download the driver package directly. I can't point you to your driver package...

    PCSPECIALIST Gigabyte B550 X2 V2 issue

Is RGB Fusion recognising the fans? Was it working previously. Is the front LED strip actually a strip, or is it just the RGB fan shining through?
