I’ve had various versions, and multiple copies of the series on Xbox, Mac and PC - just for completeness of course. I think the PC one was a fairly recent freebie GoTY from Epic.
We can't comment on competitor builds...and I'm not in a position (due to lack of knowledge) to judge any other company.
However, the below has equivalent specs to what's shown in that advert, but it's NOT a build we'd recommend anyone buy as too many corners have been cut (case, motherboard...
From what I've been reading, the ones that gave it a 'meh' or below rating from their in-person demo have not received codes to test the full version...and the only reviewers that are getting codes are those that have been boot-licking.
But then I might just be looking at the wrong channels...
This is about as close to £1000 I can get it, but it comes with some compromises to do so. None of the choices are bad, but some are not what we'd choose if the budget to fit a higher spec component was there.

Sorry, but no.
I don't think that's the correct config link either, as there's no price and the link shows a 750W CX model PSU.
You've reduced the RAM speed (could see a 10% performance reduction in RAM-speed critical tasks there)
You've changed the CPU to a media creation / productivity...
