I use plug in ethernet extenders which gives a consistent reliable connection, but obviously you are tethered to the spot. FYI mine are TP-LINK. Good quality.
You didn't say what monitor you were using or the budget as requested, so you won't get a decent reply. For an extra £5 I would upgrade to the silver warranty though. Also the storage looks a bit weak compared to the rest of the build.
Not familiar with running on a TV but on a monitor FO4 at 60FPS 1080p is limited by the monitor i.e. upgrading is pointless. I would a add the memory if you think the mods are causing swapping out.
The 13600K looks to be a decent all-round CPU. I would still have a preference for the 7600x over it if it wasn't for the overall cost of the AM5 platform.
You need to factor liquid cooling, PSU, motherboard, case and leccy bill into the cost if you want to get the full performance out of this thing. For gaming it's just not worth it. Pointless CPU IMHO.
Wow, the 4090 is priced at £1836 !! I suppose given that the scalpers are already charging £2300 on evilbay it's actually a bit of a bargain. World's gone mad...
Yes, I think it was Gigabyte and they were slated for it. This is a VERY unusual thing to happen to power supplies and most have several safety features. Absolutely not the norm, and is actually a good example of how social media jumps on the bandwagon and suddenly PSUs going bang are the norm.
Yeah, there's a lot about this on the web but I find it very dubious as GPU (and CPU) manufactures put thermal limits on the die and reduce power if they are exceeded. Also the only thing that would fry the PSU is transient peaks, and even then anything except cheap bargain basement PSUs would...
Usually you get a bit more bang for your buck with the equivalent AMD vs Intel, but the build above with the 12700 is fine and will future proof it as you upgrade the graphics card.
I would have added more storage than the build above. If you're storing videos and music then a 6TB HDD is...
As you are running at 4k the GPU will still be the bottleneck for gaming, not the CPU as you stated. Also as you use it for non-gaming as well then an AMD CPU might be a better option.
You've also picked a micro-ATX motherboard which is pointless in a full size case.
I also think Echoes from the Meddle album is superb. Watch Live at Pompeii if you haven't already. The harmonies between Dave Gilmour and Richard Wright on Echoes are brilliant.
