Mine has finally arrived and I'm starting to explore how much of my Steam library is compatible. I'll hold off on posting pics/vids yet until I get some steer from a mod - it is technically a none-PCS PC, even if handhelds are not really in competition with anything PCS sells.
I got the 512GB...
Just to rule out the obvious, do your other devices get good connection to the 5GHz signal when in the same location as the PC? 2.4GHz is slower but better able to penetrate barriers like thick walls.
This is great, thanks, and it seems to be valid until the 24th Feb (including the ogre bonus pack), in case anyone is holding off for the initial patches to hit and fix the early issues.
I'm in now way anything like tech support, but could I ask a question about this? What was the first thing to go wrong? You mention the the case peeling away from the screen after a year of use - did you contact PCS about this? Is it something they fixed? It strikes me that, if not, it could...
Dammit, July is too soon, now I need to desperately find some fault with my perfectly fine PC in order to justify an upgrade. May have to try and learn indoor hammer-juggling again.
It would still be good to know what monitor you are pairing it with and what games you play. Some e.g. turn based tactical games are CPU heavy, some e.g. open world 1st person games are GPU heavy.
Either way, just to warn you, the bottom end of your budget is where you'd be better off with a...
Also, to add to the general nightmare of Christmas delivery backlogs, Brexit and the pandemic absences delaying everything, (and no idea if this applies to you, but it caught me out this week) Scotland had an extra bank holiday we didn't get in England.
I had an Amazon delivery guaranteed for...
It could be that all is fine and it will arrive today. Shipping logistics don't always get updated in real time and it isn't late yet.
If not, try to be pragmatic - I don't know where you live but my council has paused some rubbish collections and our busses are going to be Saturday service...
I've fallen down the same rabbit-hole, which leads into some warrens of Wuxia and Xianxia novels too.
I'd add:
'Mother of Learning' by Nobody103
'I shall seal the Heavens', by Er Gen
The cradle series by Will Wight
All as something worth looking into, I think the first two are available free...
@Bhuna50 If its OK, I'd really like the Bloodbowl game. A friend has the boardgame but we honestly struggled to figure out how to play it, just last week. Same happened before with Gloomhaven but playing the PC version really helped me understand the rules (plus, I'd be able to play it without...
I'd second this. I use VR a lot, I have a Vive, a Vive pro and a hololens for AR stuff, (work toys, so work pays) but the pick up and go nature of the Quest 2 is awesome. Especially if you plan on having lots of noob strangers use VR on an open day or outreach session.
You should have seen our...
Looks lovely, but either there is a really odd reflection or you seem to have put a candle under your GPU, which while not a specific breach of PCS' open case policy, is probably pushing things a bit - testing out the cooling fans?
I think this is the link Martin meant to add, for you to read: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/please-read-before-posting-collaboration-of-helpful-hints.77691/
