Just called the local customs office and consulted with them, apparently the import tax rate for computers is 0%, however, for all imports from 3rd countries (which UK is now post-brexit), I have to pay local VAT (21%) and the VAT from UK shouldn't be really counted in, the consultant didn't...
They have emailed me directly, so I'm emailing with a specific person, hopefully they can reply faster, I cannot afford and have no time for international calls at this moment. I am still waiting for the PC to go into build anyway. I would accept to pay the VAT if PCS confirmed that they would...
The terms and conditions do say that they're not responsible for any customs taxes that may apply during delivery, but it doesn't say anything about VAT. I will need to email them, both about the VAT and the customs, though I'm waiting for an answer to an email about that already. All payments...
I did, my PC was paid fully, all amendments paid too instantly, but now they said that I would need to pay the VAT too. I thought usually the terms and conditions apply at the time of buying, not at the time of shipping of the product, so it's a weird one for me.
Hello everyone,
since brexit is now in place and UK is not in the EU anymore, I have to pay VAT (was buying with VAT exempt from EU), which is understandable, but now I just realised that customs might take this parcel and if the value of the PC is written in the documents somewhere, they could...
there's a whole bunch of stuff missing that's been picked out as the most popular here, not just the cases, maybe they started to build lots of builds with those at once and just updated the configurator? hopefully these parts are not having any stock problems and will be back soon
I believe PCS mainly use DPD, but due to the amount of orders and the current situation in the world, they're using additional services too, which FedEx is a part of
Never intended to do that, my post was written when the information about ASUS cards was that they're not expected anytime soon, written by PCS staff here, now as they got one shipment in, all of that information is irrelevant, so yeah. And as spyder said, trust the seller, not people on the forums
if I am on 61 working days (12th of Oct order date) and switched from strix to non-strix, would changing back to strix allocate the card for me?
I understand if you cannot reveal that, but at this point, I gotta try asking :)
61 working days in, and all I wanted was a workstation for busy holiday period! Some days I even forget that I am waiting for my pc and just sit in the not-quiet 100% speed laptop fan and cooler fan noise filled room, probably going to be around 75-80 days if rumors about mid-late January stock...
nope, not the case here, I had a few automated ones at first, and the notifications came through when they replied on the account contact page. Just seen that other people had emails written to them (not the automated ones) about their build or specific part stock levels, meanwhile all I had was...
I did ask them on the account contact page (seems like they're responding there faster than email), same boat, stuck between 3080 stock and 5000 series ryzen stock loop. Just pointing out that no emails or any information at all came from their side, so if I haven't asked, I would still be...
oh man.. This is what I was talking about earlier too, lots of us have 3080 and a 5000 series ryzen cpu, both are on pre-order and if they get the stock on different days, we're never getting our builds even after waiting since early October, and I thought Ghosthud was watching over the oldest...
