thats my point, even if chassis are great, its the chips that run hot and like it has been mentioned here couple of times intel chips are designed to thermal throttle, in full load temps will be in high 90s degree on 20mm chassis escpecially with 8 core cpus, unless you using liquid metal. Its...
I just compared my guess to what i seen from reviews and tests from msi gs66 with 8 core cpu 10th, and it was thermal throttling, usually msi has very good cooling, no matter what, in thin cases with 8 core cpu from intel even with 9th gen you will be in high 90s° unless you using liquid metal...
if you wonder about amd go ahead with 9900k i would change cooler to h115i pro and you will be alright with temps about 60-70 in full load 9900k is still a beast and will perform better in most games as well, though amd config would make it cheaper however i understand your concerns, 9900k will...
thanks, yep there is option in bios for custom xmp profiles but not sure if it applies, i will post pics later on but i did not seen any increase in performance once applied so was wondering
there still might be hope seen on few models, that undervolt applied in bios for 10th gen. not all of them but few already has been possible to adjust voltage
yeah i wonder if actually vortex ix with 9750h supports up to 2933mhz as well, @SpyderTracks do you have any idea? im sure stock ram can be overclocked I was running it at 3000mhz with oc but im sure it just showed readings in hwinfo but actual mhz was either stock or 2933 max. I think clevo...
hi it depends what monitor you using what is your budget, however i would change ram to 3200mhz (8x2) straight away and also gpu to at least 1660ti or 2060, wait for guys who gives you advice on case and cooling, I would go with standard amd cooler instead
have a look here https://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-services/download/ftpOut.asp?Lmodel=NJ5xCU_ZU<ype=9&submit=+GO+
control centre should be same version as NJ70CU, its the same version laptop with 15 inch screen
if you want you can choose recoil iv 15' inch it is also thicker with mechanical keyboard therefore should perform a bit better in cooling even if its smaller, i think vyper is 20mm and recoil 27mm thick? i would personally go with recoil IV but i do like bigger screens, dont expect them running...
regardin i7 10th yea, here is link to reffered thread
https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/new-intel-i7-10th-cpus-unable-to-undervolt-underclock.68048/
I guess it would be pretty same to be honest we cannot expect those running cool all of them slim chassis will be in 90s when under full load, no undervolting on 10th generation cpu and thin chassis , we would really have to see there has been review of new msi gs66 i think it was while ago, and...
I had ran prime for about 2-3 hours no bsods but I still had a bsod while gaming anno, same error, do you have any clue maybe?
here is a log have a look please, no bsods while testing
log bsod
I think this was used with a custom made copper I think there was a user BartX who was making them, try have a look on google if you interested, there has been some great work done, but also those temps were on LM.
here is a link to the thread and also for IHS...
lol :D yea I think that was the issue but I am still testing, now it seems to be stable at -200 lol :D but an hour prime test and still was going on, will still play with it though, here are some screenshots from warzone just now :D 11+GB ram used lol, everything maxed out :D, I heard you can do...
