Looks very interesting but it does mention you need to configure certain things in the BIOS which aren’t readily available on the stock bios. Think you need an unlocked version, which in turn would obviously void the PCS warranty
Thats odd. If running CMD as adminstrator and you enter -
powercfg /list
It should return everything. Is the AMD High Performance plan listed on the Windows front end in the Choose Power Plan screen?
They shouldn’t be hidden? Are you the administrator and running CMD as administrator? You should be able to use CMD to get the power cfg GUID then from there put that into a script. I will post both steps later, away from machine at the min
I didn’t find CCC any use really after a couple of days, which is why I was fine with binning it. You could script the power plan change into the shortcut of the game you’re launching as we mentioned?
No null zone settings to increase anywhere?or maybe try to turn the sensitivity down on that axis instead? If it’s not there right now I’m sure it will be added as that would be a must for some controllers
Regards to the camera, can you not map camera free pan to the middle mouse button? That’s how I have my P3D setup although I do use an add-on called EZDok for camera stuff. I don’t believe it’s available for MSFS yet. But yeah if you can map the middle mouse button and wheel to a free pan/zoom...
Yeah stock voltages are ridiculously high. Although it wouldn’t be 1.4V at stock if it was an all cores load, I think it’s around 1.25-1.3 on the 3700X for stock all core load. I just use Profile 1 and then select manual settings. No it won’t throttle down once the profile is applied. However...
I think that’s correct yes. However CCC and Ryzen Master will not play nice together. Any manual clock speeds or voltages profiles set in RM will be reset by CCC when gaming. yeah balanced with the slider works fine as well. I use the AMD Ryzen High Performance power plan but not sure how much...
2 options I suppose. 1 is manually changing it when you need to on using the battery icon in the system tray.
Or my preferred option, I created a script that Is called with a games shortcut is launched, it automatically changes it to the high performance plan and then changes it back to...
Start switches on the 747 are on the overhead panel, in the centre, pull down switches.APU will need to be running though and APU bleed switched on so you have some bleed air pressure :) Yeah I would stick with trying to fly the heavy stuff from cockpit view only, I’ve never used external view...
Practice makes perfect :D 747 has a very high viewpoint distance from ground which can make things trickier. Need a nice steady descent rate, around 140-150 knots if at flaps 25. Use the radio altimeter callouts, Start the flare around 40-50ft, cut throttles to idle at around 20-30ft
I will...
Yeah but the default a/c will be nowhere near as detailed as the those made by the 3rd parties I mentioned. And I wouldn’t expect them to be in fairness. P3D V5 will see me through until at least next year I think, whilst keeping an eye on MSFS
Its not so much scenery add-ons, its aircraft. I am not really into VFR prop plane flying, more a heavy metal tube liner guy:) So I will be waiting until FSLabs, PMDG, Aerosoft and QualityWings etc come over. I coudln't use any of the default A\C, would drive me insane lol
plenty of fairly cheap stick and throttle combinations out there Scott. Or are you primarily using your laptop on the sofa?
Good to see a lot of buzz around MSFS today. From what I’ve read, it’s a mixed bag. Some people still saying it’s effectively beta, others just enjoying it for what it is...
