I asked them because I'm interested in an AMD spec laptop.
Again, I used the word might as they did qualify that whilst March is the target, there's no official date at this time.
Hope so. Still waiting on stuff from PCSpec but been without a good machine now since October. Just keeps getting more tempting to go for that one :D
Yeah. Ryzen seems to be the way to go, even single threaded performance right now seems superior to Intel's offerings which is nice. And whilst...
Yeah I'm not too worried about heat. All the Clevos I've had seem to manage.
The other brand I'm looking at has a full 3070 though, higher wattage than some 3080s. Temps seem acceptable, plus Ryzen and 1440p. A good all round deal it seems.
Seeing some nice other brand machines with Ryzen and 3070 around, reasonable price too. Hoping PCSpec's Laptops aren't too far off, would rather remain a customer with them if possible.
Getting more and more tempting though..
I'd echo those saying wait for a Clevo. My Recoil TongFang (RTX 2070) was RMAd 3 times due to a faulty motherboard. Had to be replaced each time. Had a refund in the end and now waiting on a Ryzen Clevo.
For now I'm on my old 970m Clevo. Dodgy shift key but running fine otherwise. A family...
Yeah would be interesting to see some reviews on these. I loved mine at first but the motherboard failed completely about 3-4 times. Shocking reliability but obviously as small a sample size as you can get.
So here's the only info I have from PCSpec.
"We don’t have anything concrete yet for Ryzen and the 3070, but this hopefully shouldn’t be too far off."
Looks like it will be worth waiting a little bit. Hopefully be a Clevo barebones again.
Just 1 drive for the best value right now. There's only 2 bags so I maxed out the 1 option. Speedy enough for OS and a lot more I think.
Na, didn't buy Windows from them.
Will wait a little more then regarding Ryzen. Cheers
Finally got my issue sorted with my previous Recoil Laptop (Unfortunately looks like I'll be avoiding TongFang in the future)
So now I'm looking to replace it with a more reliable (In my experience) Clevo.
