I haven't - I know that all builds are taking a while because of high demand, backlog of orders catching up from stock shortages, lower staff numbers from Covid etc. From reading these forums, 24 days seems quite common for most builds assuming they have stock.
The reason I was considering...
Currently I have ordered an AMD Radeon 6700XT and I'm at 18 working days and still in pre-production. I've been considering changing to an NVidia 3070TI, but I'm guessing that I might join the back of the queue - i.e. if it is currently taking around 24 days from first ordering a 3070TI, I could...
No problem.
The first video that I posted is heat stress testing a GPU, but the concept holds for CPUs too - I just liked that he was using a heat gun on it!
As I believe you understand - whilst your current way of working won't necessarily break anything (unless you trip over those cables!)...
The good news is that you are highly unlikely to break it just by running at full capacity, as most modern components have safeguards built in to stop you from going too far. However, like with any machine, if you run it at full capacity for extended periods of time, you are likely to shorten...
It's good to have your operating system on a fast drive so that your boot times and running of Windows are fast. However, having a massive super fast drive for everything would get expensive! So putting media (games, photos, files) on a separate disk that isn't quite as high spec saves some...
Don't overlook the monitor! Particularly for competitive first person shooters. There is no point having a computer that can do 200 frames per second if your monitor can only display 24 frames per second.
This video helps to explain what to look out for with monitors:
Thanks everyone. I agree with the power supply, 850W seems to make sense. The Intel M.2 is a great spot - it's significantly cheaper than the Samsung 870 QVO that I had, and faster!
Thanks Martin. There was some method to the madness with my storage selections. I have to do lots of versioning and back-ups with large files and so I am keen to have fast storage where possible. As you know, SSDs do make quite a difference compared to HDDs. The other reason is that my...
I've been thinking of amending my order. Again, I'd welcome feedback (primary use = gaming, but also some occasional amateur photo editing):
Case
COOLERMASTER MASTERBOX TD500 MESH ARGB GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Eight Core CPU (3.8GHz-4.7GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4)
Motherboard
ASUS®...
So, from reading the comments, my rough summary is that it appears that only Ryzen 7 5800x is happy with 4 sticks of RAM at 3600MHz. It seems most other AMD CPUs struggle, but possibly a BIOS update/settings change might fix it?
However, it looks like 4 sticks at lower frequencies are more stable.
Does tweaking your order put you back to 1 day production time? Or do you keep your place in the queue? I assume/hope you keep your place in the queue.
Also, I was wondering what happens if I amended my order to be fast tracked at this stage? Would that speed things up by marking my order as a...
Yes, it's actually doing slightly more than just creating a vacuum. If they create too hard a vacuum, it would suck air in and send it out of the exhaust air pump constantly. That would introduce a lot of air bubbles in the system and make the pump work very hard. If the water became too...
I'm at 13 working days so far - all the parts appeared to be available on the configurator when I ordered (and still now), so I was quite hopeful when I submitted the order, but I'm still in pre-production at the moment. The trouble is that I'm excited to get it (first new computer in over 10...
I've not used this myself so I can't vouch for how well it works, but I noticed that iCue have a plug in for Armoury Crate so that (hopefully) you can sync up all of your RGB:

Do you know what temperatures your different components are reaching? I noticed that you have the standard CPU cooler and no extra case fans, but AMD CPUs are known to run hot. Similarly, M.2 can get hot (without good case airflow) and stop functioning properly, not to mention the GPU!
