    PCSPECIALIST Speaker Recommendation

I suppose they are only needed for protection and won't add to the sound. I'd have done the same. Logitech mouse.. well done.. the mature choice for professional gamers I find :P

    PCSPECIALIST New Build Thoughts Please

Hey you and me both then. I naturally went for Intel first, what I've always done in the past.

Ah got you. Yes, fair enough then. More glad to know I wasn't missing out something I should have known otherwise. Looking forward to seeing the pics though, I was due to go for the same case as you, but went another route.

    PCSPECIALIST Pre-Production...

How so? I went for the RTX 2060 and I was impressed by the numbers it could kick out - especially with decent RAM and CPU combined.

    PCSPECIALIST Standard Ryzen CPU Cooling

Couldn't of said it better myself.... though my Lurcher (who escaped on a Golf course during a forest walk once) reckons Golf courses are just perfect for doing Zoomies on - perfect on the paws!

    PCSPECIALIST Standard Ryzen CPU Cooling

Yeah I'd go with that too... I swear my system should have been built and delivered already, but PCS have looked at my track record and thought "no, leave him another week and he'll spend even more", which I did in fact do! :)

    PCSPECIALIST Standard Ryzen CPU Cooling

And don't forget about a Surge Protected power socket adaptor.... you never know when that could come to bite you on the rear end. Actually pretty cheap from PCS, at £10 - I looked about and they all seem either lesser in quality or the same product but costing you more. Originally I only...

I love those games... these days I get it more from the deserted space station style games with the "personnel logs" as it always add a level of realism that freaks me out somewhat. I will be trying out The Medium though, looks superb and very atmospheric.

    PCSPECIALIST Monitors: 1080 v 1440 or 60Hz v 144Hz - Which one do I need?

Exactly THIS. I didn't really consider the monitor is where I should have started first and built my system around that. My post was more aimed at those who are happy and settled with 1080p, but might be on the cusp of moving into 1440p, but think the benefit will be not worth the investment...

    PCSPECIALIST Monitors: 1080 v 1440 or 60Hz v 144Hz - Which one do I need?

And I'll let the computer geekers explain that one. :P In fairness, this is a consideration most people need to think about before even looking at the spec. Most of us just don't know what we want and whether a couple of months additional savings could help us get a computer that is beyond...

    PCSPECIALIST Monitors: 1080 v 1440 or 60Hz v 144Hz - Which one do I need?

Whilst seeing is believing and nothing better than IRL, hopefully this gives a quick idea as to what you could be missing out on. Though I'm yet to take the jump myself, this will certainly encourage me to take the plunge later this year and invest in hardware that isn't just a great GPU or...

    PCSPECIALIST Monitors: 1080 v 1440 or 60Hz v 144Hz - Which one do I need?

When you aren't quite the computer geek, but still find yourself surrounded by them, life can be a little difficult. Why? Because computer geek people come out with plenty of terminology and know-how, but sometimes don't always get that us "normal" people don't live on that same planet and...
