Good Morning,
I am looking to upgrade my GPU and looking for some advice.
Beginning to increase game playing and current GPU is struggling.
My monitor is an Asus 25" 1080p @ 144Hz. not really expecting to upgrade to 1440.
Trying to decide between RTX 3060 and RX6650XT which are similarly...
If you're taking the hdd out of your current system, you could save a bit by transferring the Windows license to the new machine and bump your GPU up to RTX3060 and m2 to the Firecuda for £1 more.

Just a bit of a grumble.
In another thread, I posted a link where some one could source an alternative standalone GPU that a moderator edited out.
"With the limited scope for upgrading and swapping out the GPU, you could save a bit more on reducing the PSU.

Maybe he can't. Maybe the current pricing mark up plus APR for instalments is actually more expensive than his method with 12 months interest free credit. Plus he gets an additional very low spec PC he could recoup some of his money on
I think he wants to upgrade the GPU and PSU on his current system but cannot afford to pay for it in a lump sum through the upgrade process. The solution he has come up with seems to be to order the cheapest system possible with the card and PSU he wants and then pay for it over 12 months...

Did you buy your existing PC from PCS? You could go down the upgrade route on the original order instead.

I've just bought the Asus TUF Gaming VG259Q (24.5") from Amazon £229 over 5 months.
The extra inch makes all the difference.
Solid build and blows my old 22" Benq out the water.
Seeing as there already is the intention to upgrade the GPU, depending on time frame, would downgrading current GPU and upgrading to 5600X be an alternative, as it now comes closer to the original budget. Hopefully, wouldn't be too long before GPU availability goes up and prices start to come...
It really is quite worrying about financial commitments people agree to without fully understanding the details.
Using the Hitachi finance is great if you expect to pay it off within 12 months, but works out very expensive just for the convenience when there are far better options around.
I...
As you'll still be under the warranty and they're going to replace it, you could ask them to upgrade to a better cooling system and pay the extra. On a recent RMA, I took the opportunity to upgrade the PSU.
Others would be able to advise on a suitable choice.
Has anyone got any thoughts on Iiyama monitors? I have found 1 that meets my spec for under £250 (PROLITE XUB2796QSU-B1 - 27" 1440 IPS 1ms).
Not sure how good they are.
Have you looked at alternative finance options?
I was originally going to use 50% finance but worked out the payments over the term would amount to over 100% of loan. ie £500 loan £1100 in repayments.
Changed to paying all on one credit card and transferring 50% to another with interest free...
The module is secured to the motherboard, the heatsink then stuck onto the module and secured with its own screws. Need to remove heatsink from module to access screw to release module.
There was more resistance than I was happy to deal with. Especially with tech support saying damage wouldn't...
I tried to move it , but was little concerned about the resistance from the heatsink tape. More concerned after spoke to tech support and told any damage wouldnt be covered.
I guess was put in that slot for distance from cpu and gpu heat. Wouldnt have been too much of a problem staying there...
The problem is the m2 drive is a PCIe 4 but the slot it is in is only PCIe 3. Not getting full potential read/write speeds where it currently is. Could have got cheaper PCIe 3 card
