    PCSPECIALIST New PC Arrived

The PC is going back . Tried to move the M2 this morning but the way it has been installed I didn't want to risk damaging it. Especially when advised by PCS any damage wouldn't be covered. From what I can see from the ASUS manual and unscrewing the heat sink, the m2 module is secured to...

    PCSPECIALIST New PC Arrived

It was only a fine layer, got it out. I sent my own case in but there wasn't any dust when I sent it. Didn't realise could send direct to PCS from supplier. Good job in the end because the first one I got I didn't like so sent back. Happy with the second, Cooler Master Silencio 452. Only...

    PCSPECIALIST New PC Arrived

My PC arrived today after only 9 days so I shouldn't moan.........but! I opened the case to remove the transit packaging a noticed the Gen 4 NVMe had been put in the 2nd PCI3 M2 slot, not the 1st PCI4 slot. Is there any logical reason for this? Would I really notice any difference if I left it...

Thanks for the information. Would it be worthwhile increasing the budget to get a 27" 1440 monitor and is IPS the preferred panel technology?

    PCSPECIALIST New Monitor Upgrade

Yes PCS build, due to arrive tomorrow. I realise its not as high end as some of the set ups on here and have probably gone a bit overboard on the m2 but it well exceeds the recommended spec on the software I use. I've been using a Celerion dual core with shared graphics and Office 2007 for well...

    PCSPECIALIST New Monitor Upgrade

Hi, Looking to upgrade my current monitor, Benq GW2250H. PC is mainly used for photo editing and general use. However, after looking around the forums lately, have become nostalgic for some of the games I used to play a long time ago so also light gaming (Half-Life etc). The monitor will need to...

    PCSPECIALIST Spec check

The point I was trying to make was there aren't any GPU's out there. I did not find anywhere that had any in stock outside of chancers on e bay trying to flip them for a profit.

    PCSPECIALIST Spec check

The major problem is that available GPU's do not seem to exist at the moment. A quick check of a couple of sites has Curry's being the only place even quoting a price for an RTX 3070, £500 minimum. Does not look as if that is going to change any time soon.

Using 3600 may also cause an issue if you plan to increase your memory in the future. There are threads on here where others have reported stability issues with Asus MB's when attempting to run 4 modules at 3600.

    PCSPECIALIST Help with spec please

Thanks for the advice From what I had read from the specs, the ASUS® TUF GAMING B550-PLUS motherboard is GEN 4 as has a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and is supported by AMD 3 series. Currently have a 250Gb partition for OS and programs which is almost full, hence the 500Gb, whether worth £60 more for the...

    PCSPECIALIST Help with spec please

I am currently using a BenQ GW2250H but will be upgrading in next year. Budget max £900. Yes, did mean glass/plastic side, don't need to see inside or a multi-colour disco and they do not seem to have the 5.25 in bays either.

    PCSPECIALIST Help with spec please

Hi Looking to upgrade my current desk top and would like some advice on the configuration below. Mainly for home/office use but also photo editing with Affinity and less Photoshop. It will not be used for gaming. Trying to future proof slightly, I realise some of the spec might be overkill...
