Contacted PC Specialists yesterday afternoon. They basically asked me a few questions and said they'd get a new battery sent out straight away.
It arrived today and I've swapped it over. All fixed!
Well played to them for the quick service.
I don't have HW Monitor but I've run a battery report via command prompt and it says the battery design and full capacity are currently equal.
I haven't tried taking the the battery out yet, I'll give that a go.
Thanks.
Hi all,
I purchased and received the VYPER III back in May, however I'm having issues regarding the battery being stuck on 0% even though it's saying its plugged in & charging.
I'll contact PC Specialist tomorrow, however i'd like to hear your thoughts on how to potentially fix this myself as...
If I'm doing daily tasks, or even wanting to game with quieter fans normally I'll use Office mode which sits at 80 degrees (daily tasks much lower).
If im playing a game that requires more power I'll use Game mode for the boost in performance.
You could also try setting up a custom fan curve...
I believe it's because you're not in Office mode and probably have the turbo on. It can be configured in the Control Centre or by pushing the button near the power one.
Oh for sure, I'm glad people are posting about the issues they have encountered.
Its great to see so many people help others especially if it's something the user can fix to save sending the laptop back.
I have a Vyper 3 with a 2070 and can comfortably play in Office Mode which sits at 80 degrees and the fans are barely noticeable.
You can try custom fan curves too.
