Right, so I have tried plugging in another fan onto the header - it boots up fine with no issues if I do that.
I have currently disable the cpu fan speed in BIOS, so I can start up and check things. CPU has stayed at ok temps for 30mins idle/looking at iCue software - see picture. I did force an...
Ah okay, strange that it was there In the first place then. So I shouldn't bother trying to recover/fix this then?
Back to the main point though, I'm still getting the fan issue. Although I might try what you said earlier and check the cpu temp under load, cos it seems stable enough. And has...
I have rechecked and confirmed I was wrong. It was one long beep, four short beeps.
The cpu is currently idling at 34c but only been on a minute or two.
I know this is a known fault. But it was doing this with the monitor on as well and then bringing up the cpu fan fault on the screen. Unless I am incorrect with the beep codes, I will check again later.
The pump and fans have a single wire, three pin going to the cpu fan header. And is all ran...
I'll have to go back and check later today to make sure. but I'm pretty sure it was the same as the one for the screen. One long three short. If I leave the screen off, it does this twice in a row.
Thats getting a bit technical for me, so I think I'll be sending it back unfortunately.
Thanks
This is getting confusing.
See I know that fault, as I have to turn my screen on to stop that. But last night I didn't at one point and had two separate 4 beep codes, I know one was for the screen because when i reboot the pc with the screen on, i had one set of beeps and still the cpu fan fault...
It's one longer beep and three short beeps, does that make a difference?
Fair enough, so guess I'm sending it back or finding someone closer to diagnose and repair then.
Thanks people
I get that, but if its a firmware/software issue, I'd like to try fix it, as I've noticed I've only got labour warranty left now. Pc was built two years ago and not too sure on costs of sending it off and repairing.
But also, the aio for the cpu is working fine in icue, pumps and fans show as...
Sorry, I forgot to mention. It still happens every time I turn the PC on. I've checked the only connection from the aio to the motherboard at the front, which goes to the cpu fan header. I believe it's ok. Unplugged and plugged in a couple times in the same position.
I've managed to get passed the bios and run my pc (I'm aware not advised) but my pump and fans are running, got the iCue software running now too. And it's showing everything as "normal", how it was before. I can't see anything different myself.
And when I adjust fan speeds for the cpu fans...
Hi,
Just went to start my pc up. I'm getting a cpu fan error. Four beeps when it starts up. I go into bios and it's not detecting my cpu aio at all.
Temp is showing 43c on cpu and fans for aio are running.
I have literally no idea what to do, please help. Hoping is an easy fix so I don't have...
I've had a basic play around with the curves and tried different modes and it seems to be much better noise wise. Just trying to get my head round the software a bit.
As for GPU I just update the drivers as they're released, otherwise don't touch anything. I will try look into this just to get...
Thanks for all the info, will deffo be aiming 1440 screen first then. As for cooling, thanks for the article, I'll be going for iCue curves first, the other way is a bit in depth for me, I don't hard-core game like I used to, so I'm sure it will be sufficient for now.
Cheers people
Yeah I get you can do this, but I have absolutely 0 experience. Don't want to start messing with something BIOS too much. I can adjust mine with iCue, as when I set it it does change. I mean I'm open to trying it, so will have a search on changing my bios settings
Thanks
