Does the keyboard work if you drop to BIOS before launch etc? Can you press F10/F2/Delete whatever and get into the bios and navigate it. If the keyboard doesn't work from that level then it would point to a hardware failure or cable disconnect as you will have taken Windows out of the equation...
If anyone hears anything about delivery of the chassis, then post it in here if you don't mind, I'm not going to bug them, but if I get any mails etc I'll let you know.
There's never a 'good time' to but tech, but you already know that. There will always be something better just around the corner. If you know you want a specific soon to come thing, then wait (I was waiting for the Ryzen 4k, but in the end couldn't wait any longer so went ahead with 10875H...
Kinda agree, we all know that no laptop on the market (or desktop pc for the most part) can run cpu/gpu full ball forever without throttling, however they shouldn't throttle instantly with just gaming loads that are usually pretty good at separating loads between gpu and cpu.
Also remember the...
Photoshop tends to scew towards Intel (clocks) , where as premiere / tile renderer tend to scew to AMD (cores)
Although not a lot in it nowadays for the most part, plus Adobe are introducing gpu offload to more and more of their packages for things (nvenc encoding recently added to...
As for reviews of this chassis, can't help you there sorry, not looked into it (and not sure which cove/tong chassis it is)
As for the spec seems sensible for use case, add the re-paste on and silver warranty, and if you already have a Windows license bound to your ms account knock that off...
Never tried a cooling pad, usually just have the laptop stood on its dock 'back up' for easy port access and it usually has decent airflow then. When using on the move obviously a cooling pad adds weight, so deffo don't lump something else around.
But yeah, if you want to try it, then like I...
Didn't even look at the software, obv I haven't even got Windows being installed, and agree one of the best AV on the market at the moment is the one MS ship native (defender) , so stick with that.
Yeah that's the 1080p version of the ones I have, just saying that 1440p is kinda the sweet spot for uw's as they are usable as two monitors pretty easily. 1080p's I found pretty cramped to work with, but hey everyone to their own 😊
Depends resolution for UW monitors as well, I've got a 32" 4K (normal monitor not wide) 'middle' and two LG Ultrawide 1440p next to it left and right (34WL85C), the uw's are on arms that allow them to switch between wide and tall depending what I'm doing.
Obv the lappy monitor next to it...
No problems 😊
Having looked at the pics, seems intakes exhaust might be on side and back, not 100% sure, there's bound to be some space on the base for intake, but as for how much benefit the cooler pad would give you might depends on the amount of air it moves up and around the sides at the...
No idea on temps for optimus chassis, but 17's have more space than 15's so should be fine I would think. Cooling stands all depends on what your planning on doing with it, some are good, some do nothing. Might be worth checking placement of the intakes on the chassis to see what stand would...
If I was you I'd skip the 1tb drive, and just use a 1tb m2 if I was you, wouldn't be much cost difference, a d they do call em spinning rust for a reason 😉
I've changed my config so it's got a 970 in it now, as can't be bothered mucking about with m2's when I get mine 😊
Might as well just work out the box lol
