Yeah!
Seems to be a decent enough card, comparable to the 4080, especially when price is included in the comparison.
But although ray tracing is relatively new, I'd expect it to become much more important over the next few years. AMD have got a lot of work to do in that department.
Both Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor look like my sort of game.
I saw Sqadrons was on offer recently, going for a 5er. But these really fast flight sim's aren't my thing (Read "I'm useless at them").
I think I'll get Fallen Order, to see if it is my sort of game. And get Survivor as a...
That'll explain the Ubisoft style complaint then. Although I didn't consider it to be "overrun with icons", Days Gone does go the; main missions, side missions, collectables, etc, route.
Still a bit off track, but relevant I think.
I play Days Gone on PC. Bought from Steam. And I'm quite active in the Steam Discussion group for that game, I like it that much.
One of the 'complaints' I've seen, more than once, is that it's like a Ubisoft game, with a definitely derogatory tone.
I...
It is indeed.
I love it, now
Initially it took a bit of getting used to.
I'd have pages at full width, and then be constantly moving my head and focus to read.
That didn't last long :D Now I generally have a page at 'standard' width, with big black borders.
2 pages side by side isn't the...
I dunno. I've got a 34" flatscreen ultrawide, and I just measured. I sit about 80 cm away.
But, I can see my walls on either side of the screen. I reckon that 42" wouldn't be a problem, it would just reduce the amount of wall. I'd want a curved screen though. I think changing focus, from centre...
I've just got a Gigahertz M34WQ, 3440x1440p, 144Hz, 34" ultrawide flat screen. A step up from a standard 22" 1080p, 60Hz
Not quite 2 full screen widths, at 21:9 ratio, but I can get most of two screens on it. Extremely useful for comparing two similar files or, for eg, copying / pasting parts...
I considered that @Bhuna50 , but that kinda defeats the object of a One Touch thingummy. I'd probably still have to power up my computer itself, as well as switching on whatever I used as a trigger. The object of this is - when you power off or put your computer to sleep, everything else is...
That's what I've got now. A multi-socket / surge protection, with a manual switch :)
This is what I had. After about 10 - 15 years, the auto-switch off has broken down :(
One click intellipanel. This one is no longer available, but they do a 6 socket version.
I've never had a problem with...
If I remember right, Volts x Amps = Watts. 240v x A = 40 Watts, = 6 Amps.
6 Amps should be more than enough to trip the power demand threshold of my knackered smart multi-socket.
6 Amps is enough to do more than light your eyes up. I think milleamps are enough to kill you, at 240v.
Also, if I...
It didn't stay on :(
Looking at Armoury Crate, it's drawing around 40 Watts. That's only a dim light bulb, but it should be more than enough to trip the power demand threshold. I think it must just be old age, and coincidental to the new computer, which may well draw less than the old one at...
The surge bit is seperate.
This is like a switched surge multi-socket, but instead of a manual switch that you operate, it does that bit for you.
I've had it for about 10 years, probably longer nearer 15. I doubt the switching wattage threshold is adjustable, I can't see anything which might do...
It has that surge protection as well.
This was just one I saw, when I was looking for a normal, thermal fuse type, surge protection socket.
It had the added benefit of switching everything off and on, when I switched off/on my computer.
It also has ports for telephone cable connections and...
