There is a great place in the middle of Leipzig, in the summer there will be a load of tables outside and all they do is Currywurst, although you have the choice or Rot oder Weiß with Pommes if you want and Ketchup or Mayo, I alwyas have Mayo with the Pommes.
Sad news from Germany, the VW canteen will no longer offer Currywurst.

Still on my summer walk about but thought I would drop by with a bit of music, my top three songs with slightly less than normal titles.
1. Whoopy Snorp by the Residents.
2. (I want to be an) Anglepoise Lamp by the Soft Boys.
3. Kowalski of the Seaview has got the best hairstyle I've ever seen...
Discogs is really good these days, 10 or so years back when GEMM was fine I did not find Discogs as good but they have stuck at it and really got their act together, they deserve a lot of credit.
Just spotted they have a John the Postman I have been after, not too expensive which is good.
I used to use GEMM for some stuff, although had to be careful as some right rip-off merchants on there among the good ones. Sadly they folded a while back.
Picked up a few rare Residents cds and vinyl via them, plus a real treasure, the Temple City Kazoo Orchestra, a four-track 12" 45rpm with...
There are loads of great session players who do not get the credit they deserve, one of my favourites is Duck Dunn, not only a fantastic player but had one of the best lines in the Blues Brothers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_%22Duck%22_Dunn
The band in the Blues Brothers film was made...
Take a Walk on the Wild Side has a great bass line but rather than post a link to it, here is Gregg Hagger who puts up bass tuition videos on how to play it.
I live the sound of a pipe organ. Once had the luck to be in Leipzig for a concert to celebrate the rennovatuon of the organ in the Gewandhaus. A real variety of stuff from classical to jazz but only on the organ.
It is an amazing instrument, not sure but about 1,000 pipes. It has a main...
A good turntable system is next on my agenda but I need to find somewhere to put it first. At moment have got a fairly bog standard Sony Blu Ray system which I use for CDs as well. Nearly all the classical I listen to now is via Blu ray as the sound is so superior to CDs. The compression on CDs...
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this Primal Scream album, Fender are producing a special Strat: https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/191119351275008--fender-custom-shop-30th-anniversary-screamadelica-stratocaster
Am rather glad they are not among my favourite bands or could have been...
My current favourite treat with a coffee is a Pain aux raisin although I do enjoy a croissant and a good one does not need anything added, that said, if there happens to be a jar of Nutella nearby.
The volume level of the AC30 is awesome, I have had the chance to try quite a few amps over the years and while I like Marshall, Laney, Orange, Fender etc I do not believe any come near the power of the Vox of a similar wattage. If the reports about the attentuator are correct it should be...
It is a pity they are no longer made in the UK but Vox are still producing some great amps and with valves in, I think one of these will be on its way to me in the near future: https://voxamps.com/en-gb/product/ac30-custom-head/
Not long got a bass amp but thought this would go well with it and...
